its probably ok, but....

Summary: I purchased this printer about a year ago. I had BIG trouble trying to install the HP software onto my linux (kubuntu) machine. On my old linux pc I could only print from the HPLIP control center which was a pain. Somehow, I have this impression that the ink runs out pretty quickly. I am on my third cartridge replacement after very moderate use...The software on the machine seems quite complicated. I found it very difficult to figure how to send a single fax.

Summary: I had to call for tech assistance three times. The printing function is superior but learning how to fax and scan is a challenge. You would think that a company like HP would have made the functionality more simple. I would not recommend buying this product-look for another manufacturer unless all you need is printing.
Summary: I had an HP all in one laser jet for over 10 years and had very few issues. It finally got to the point that I could not figure out a couple of issues and due to the age I decided to replace it. I went with an HP because of my great experience with my last HP. This seems to be a good printer overall, but I have a MAC and for some reason I cannot always print wirelessly - I have to plug the printer in to my computer to print.
Summary: Never had a laser before and after it prints the doc. The paper comes out curled on the sides. They are warm to touch. Also still ca not figure out the wireless part. Tried a million times and hp only overs paid support.
Summary: The printer works well. The driver setup was confusing and required assistance from HP to set up ePrint. Items that run through the auto paper feeder have 2 thin vertical lines that impact copy function.
Summary: Pros: Straightforward printing from PC fast, no warmup lag on first use. Wireless easy to set up, works well No hardware problems to date--have printed about 1800 pages Seems fairly sturdy Cons: Interface for printer control panel designed by someone who thinks we should all go back to DOS--really clunky.
Summary: Bought this to replace two pieces of equipment in my office... The issue: My old HP scanning software worked exactly as I needed it. The scanning software that comes with this IS HORRIBLE!!! I frequently scan receipts and this software makes it very difficult to scan lots of single items. Good for multi-page documents, though. Setup was fairly easy, works with my Mac, and Windows computer, and I am able to print from my phone and ipad from anywhere in the house.
Summary: I really like this product. It is compact and has all the functions you need. Its major downfall is the small laser cartridge. If you are used to a larger laser printer with bigger cartridge which lasts longer, you will be disappointed. I run a small one man office and my last cartridge lasted a little over 6 weeks. If you buy only the HP cartridges and not the compatible, you could be in for major long term expense.
Summary: Thsi unit works fine after you figure how to install it. The cd that came with it just kelp running with no promps coming up. I spent over an hour talking with HP in India of all places, back to ground zero after that. I used HP Smart Install. After installing, I had to go into my programs, Hp, and build short cuts to desk top to use scanner.
Summary: Bought this from Costco mainly because of ease of return in case of trouble. Installed and has been on line working as advertised for a few hours. Tested out copying, printing and scanning. Seem to work well in all three areas. Not using fax. Installation on wireless net work went well. Installed in a desk top running windows 8 and a lap top windows 7. This replaces an old hp c309a which was nothing but trouble.
