Summary: This is a printer that must be connected to a computer via a USB cable with A-B ends or a wired network, yet a USB cable is not included with this printer. (An Ethernet cable is also not included). Be sure to buy a USB cable with A-B ends when you order your new printer or you will not be able to use it with your computer.
Summary: As inexpensive as this all-in-one was, I guess I shouldn't have expected more. I'd wanted an all-in-one so I didn't have printer and scanner on desk, but the scanner function is too poor a quality (fine for making a copy or faxing a document, but not so great with images) to give up my old scanner. I'm also getting a lot of pixillation around edges of darks in images when printing--looks like inkjet quality instead of laser. Haven't tried to troubleshoot that yet.
Summary: Had no idea for a week that the product manual is not printed. This was a huge disappointment and detriment for me. Having printed almost 300 pages to keep on hand for an understanding of this complex product, I see that it is very poorly organized... writing strictly for me. And the communication links for human contact at the HP website are most unreliable. Always sending me in dead-end circles trying to achieve ANY level of customer service.
Summary: I really liked this printer at first. It's small and compact and prints very quickly. It does skip pages and such. However, my biggest problem with this printer is that it doesn't have an output tray. The printed/copied paper falls right back into the paper tray and is used again, otherwise, it falls to the floor, which is havoc if your documents are not properly numbered. You have to really babysit the printer to prevent it from happening.
Great printing performance, cannot for the life of me get the scanner to work

Summary: As a printer, the LaserJet M1212nf MFP is quick, compact, and makes the perfect home office machine. Price to performance ratio is very high. I was very impressed the first time I had to print multiple copies of a 50 page PDF -- it didn't even hesitate to start the print job. I felt like I had a real office printer. However... I can't get the bloody scanner driver to to install on my ThinkPad T420. It works fine with my roommate's macbook, but I can't get it to work.
Pros: Don't know yet about this printer, but my previous HP laser printer has lasted almost 15 years and is still cranking along. I got a new one mainly for something a little faster with copying capability.
Cons: As other reviewers note, it does not come with the usb cable you need to connect it to your computer. Once I had the cable, I still had trouble getting started. My computer is a pc running Windows Vista 64. The auto-install program did not start automa
