prints fast, doesn't jam, but goes through toner cartridges quickly
27 March 2014
Summary: It does print fast and I haven't had paper jams. I can't set the print density lower on my machine so I go through ink cartridges fast. Ive called their tech support several times (and I can't say they are good) and reinstalled drivers, but no luck. On a Mac, it also is a pain to do scans to create PDFs. So, it gets a so-so rating.
Summary: I like this printer. Works great. However, I am constantly (...and I mean constantly!!!) having to fill the paper tray to the point that it's annoying. Because of the way the paper tray is structured, only about 1/2" of paper can be loaded maximum.
Summary: I thought this was a good buy and am happy with the printer. I bought it because I needed a scanner and am having problems at times with scanning. I keep getting error messages. I'll have to figure out why.
Summary: This is a printer that must be connected to a computer via a USB cable with A-B ends or a wired network, yet a USB cable is not included with this printer. (An Ethernet cable is also not included). Be sure to buy a USB cable with A-B ends when you order your new printer or you will not be able to use it with your computer.
Summary: As inexpensive as this all-in-one was, I guess I shouldn't have expected more. I'd wanted an all-in-one so I didn't have printer and scanner on desk, but the scanner function is too poor a quality (fine for making a copy or faxing a document, but not so great with images) to give up my old scanner. I'm also getting a lot of pixillation around edges of darks in images when printing--looks like inkjet quality instead of laser. Haven't tried to troubleshoot that yet.
Summary: The greed heads really make me angry because I will probably get a year's use out of this thing before it no longer works before I am forced to switch to windows 10. I am using Vista now, and unless somebody comes out with a new driver I am screwed AGAIN.
Pros: Very easy to set up.
Cons: The fact that the planned obsolescence of the scanner seems well nigh.
