Summary: The printer functions okay, although there were some driver issues. The main problem is that it's TOXIC emissions, which I assume is ozone. Keep in mind that I am not oversensitive to this kind of thing, and others has experienced it. When turning this on, I can immediately feel it in my breathing, as well as a quickly developing headache. This all goes away quickly after I turn it off. I can only use this with a garbage bag covering the entire printer.
Summary: This is a terribly engineered printer and the software for it is also poorly written. After getting an error message when installing the drivers (no explanation given in the error) on a Windows 7 64 bit operating system, the printer will respond to print jobs only until the computer is rebooted. Once the computer is rebooted, the printer will not respond (network hook-up not USB).
Summary: I am writing regarding the network scanning experience. Unreliable network connection status. Scanning will abort a few times before I can complete one single scan after restarting repeatedly Force you to go through a slow overscan every time you start the scan program Scan quality is only OK
Summary: This would be a great printer on so many levels -- I could write an extended, flattering review -- but for the issue of the toner cartridges. You can only get them from HP. (The 3rd party cartridges are junk.) The HP cartridges cost a lot, and don't have nearly enough toner. For the price, you should get three times as many copies as you actually get.
Summary: Do not buy. Just as well spend a bit more money for a multi function printer that works. After 2 years of nightmares IE document feeder replacement under warranty, constant mispicks, crooked scans and feeder jams after replacement. This is the second printer in a row HP burned me on. Will just say no to HP from now on.
Summary: Don't buy HP printers. HP recommended drivers for this printer caused it to go into an endless "initializing" loop. No way to recover since the printer is no longer detected by the PC. HP tech support is in India, with reps who are incompetent and cant deviate from the basic troubleshoot steps they had been provided.
