Summary: HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Okay, after my nighmare experience with a Dell color laser printer (will never buy again, and don't ever consider it yourself). If I were to compare this HP (87) to my Dell laser (22). PROS: First off, this is one of a handful of color lasers printable to from an iOS device. Decent quality... Can email documents to be printed. Rarely jams Runs many many copies past low or no ink warnings. Super easy toner installation.
Nice multifunction color laser printer for Macs...
24 January 2013
Summary: I bought this because I needed a multifunction color printer for my Mac network of computers. Simply put, everything works as it should. Prints are excellent for both B&W text and color prints provided you're not expecting photo quality color prints. The copier and scanner works as it should and wireless setup is a snap. The only negative is that the toner cartridges do not last a long time and replacements can get expensive.
Summary: I read all the other reviews before purchasing this product. While this machine prints a little slowly the print is clear and sharp even on plain paper. We have been using it for a couple months and I am very happy with it. It is easy to change between the two different sizes of paper though sometimes it is a little difficult to get the drawer back in easily. One other drawback is that I have to fill the paper tray every day.
Summary: Replaced an old Samsung 4216F monochrome laser(last legs) and a Dell color inkjet printer(ink dries up too fast) with this one about 6 months ago. It has performed wonderfully, doing the task of both of these printers. I wish it had a way to add special paper or envelopes without having to load it into the paper tray, but I can live with that.
Summary: The hardest thing for set up was taking it out of the box. Found my wifi w/o the need of the usb cable and there wasn't any problem loading the software on any of the machines (W7 x64 and Ubuntu 11.04) Haven't tried to get it to print from any of the VM's but it should work ok. Kidna wish I could use ethernet and WiFi @ the same time. It's a replacement for an HP 3055 that only saw light duty but the ADF died...
Summary: I'm using the HP LaserJet CM1415FNW primarily with my new iMac but also use it with my Dell laptop PC. The set up is not as easy as it should be but I did get it working with both computers wirelessly but only with the printer connected by cable to my wireless router. I followed all of the instructions on wireless setup with my Mac and could not connect. Same problem with the PC. As for performance it is good. A little slow but okay for my purposes.
Summary: Prints some random pages blank. Trying to print the missing pages also produces blank pages. The driver on the CD possibly does not work well with the operating system? or with a specific Vaio laptop, my guess. Has anyone experienced printing blank document pages? Otherwise, copy, fax, scan, work great. For wireless I use Linksys with Hawkins Wi-Fi range extender.
Summary: After upgrading to a new Dell quadcore with Windows 7 (64bit) I was disappointed to discover that the scanning function on my HP 2840 laserjet would no longer operate because HP had not created a driver that would work with Windows 7. Even worse, based on HP's lack of response to inquiries by various people, it seemed like HP didn't intend to create a driver to solve the problem.
Summary: I've had this printer for about 8 months and so far so good. I was somewhat skeptical about HP printers since my last all-in-one was terrible. But I really needed a color laser printer and decided to give HP one last shot. I purposely avoided buying it online and purchased it from Staples. This way if anything when wrong within the return time, I would just take it back to the store and get my money back.
