Keep having problems with a Windows XP install

Summary: My wife is resistant to moving away from XP. I have tried to install the software 3 times now and keept getting a error message in the middle of the install. THe install continues-but when you are using the computer , the Printer keeps sending pop-ups which are irratating her. We have several of these at work running from WIndows 7 with no problems. Most likely the problems will go away when She is willing to move on to Windows 7 or 8.
Summary: i installed this printer and im very happy with alll that it can do. It prints nice, but the only consern that i have is that it prints slow... its fast in processing the print job but slow at printing... i just think that it could be better. if you are planning on putting this in an office were it will do ALOT of printing and copying and scaning. this is good but the printing part might be to slow for you....
Summary: This is a very good printer/scanner, which is to be expected for it's price. PC and Mac setup is easy. Wireless printing and Air Print are a breeze. Print quality is very good. However, there are some overlooked issues, some of which may only require a firmware update to fix. Here is what I'd like this printer to do: - Scan both sides of a paper when loaded from the top. - Have the ability to name the file when scanning directly to PDF on a flash drive.
Summary: This all-in-one printer is good at some things, but not good at others. Printing black and white documents. Rating: 4 stars Very clear, crisp black text like you'd expect from a laser. Its only problem is it doesn't produce very good grays. The grays sometimes have some ugly line or grain patterns in them, even though the same document prints fine on my inkjets. Running the printer's color calibration didn't improve anything. Copying black and white documents.
Not a multi-function if it cannot easily print an envelope

Summary: I purchased this item directly from HP's small-medium business (SMB) center. I was looking for a printer to replace my Brother MFC-9840CDW, which is a color/wireless all-in-one (AIO). Brother had not come out with a newer model that bettered this AIO that I have had for a couple of years. Since I was going to have to buy multiple new Brother toner cartridges for color, which would be 1/2 the price of a completely new model, I was in the market for a new AIO.
Summary: This new MFP from HP looked promising, but falls short due to their terrible software and driver bundle and lack of proper network scanning. Replaced a Brother inkjet MFP that was half the price. The print quality on this laser is quite good, though the toner cartridges are puny and expensive, it may end up costing about the same to run as the brother inkjet. Biggest issue is you have to install hundreds of megabytes of software just to use the printer.
Summary: This is a lovely printer, although a bit on the heavy side. Being a drop in replacement for the inkjet equivalent I had for years it serves its purpose (Printer, Scanner, Copier, Fax) and has the really useful document handler at the top for scanning or copying multiple pages. The printer does e-printing, should you wish to print while on the road. You email your printer and out comes your documents. It does airprint too, so you can print from your Apple devices.
HP Color Laserjet Pro CM1415fnw: Some technical problems, but a robust multi-function printer ...
10 November 2011
Summary: This review is of the multi-function HP Laserjet Pro CM1415 FNW, a wireless colour laser printer which also has fax, copying and scanning facilities. There is also a version available which doesn't have the wireless functions, which is the CM1415 FN, and this costs around 20-30 pounds less. FIRST APPEARANCES: The first impression that I had of the printer is that it's heavy, over 20kgs, and seems fairly well built, and is mainly in black, with a white panel at the front.
Pros: Range of functions, quite a robust printer
Cons: Some technical issues with wireless, paper tray doesn't seem very strong
