Summary: This is a good printer, but it has it's problems. Two weeks into ownership, the auto-feed began jamming more and more. So much so, that we just gave up on it. We contacted HP - horrible experience and no real solution - return and replace to retailer was their solution. So return and replace is what we did, the retailer said the same thing - contact HP for warranty service - return and replace to the manufacturer was their solution.
Summary: Does not print envelopes. This worked great for the first year. Then all of a sudden it stopped printing envelopes. Now it won't print them all, regardless of the envelope size or efforts to reconfigure settings. I am very disappointed with this product.
Summary: We went to a laser printer for our home office business we have owned and operated for over 20 yrs. The laser cartridges is by far superior to ink jet, but the attributes of this particular printer leave a lot to be desired. The speed of simple documents is pitiful. If you want to print off envelopes, plan on spending time baby sitting your printer. You MAY get 10 envelopes before it goes into paper jam or cleaning mode.
Summary: I scan a lot of documents and was reasonably happy with the unit for awhile; however, it has begun giving me an error when scanning at least half the time. This takes too much time to keep redoing the scans so it looks like I will be replacing it. The toner is expensive as well and it seems like I am always replacing them. I like the prints and overall it is a good machine, but if you scan a lot, leave this one alone. Not a good value.
Summary: It's an ok printer but I wouldn't recommend it for small business use. It's really slow, I'm often standing over the unit waiting for the first page to print. Faxing is fine as is expected. I haven't really used the scanner to scan documents so I can't comment on that. Toner is extremely expensive. I've had the unit for about a year and I'm on my 3rd order of a 4 pack toner order costing $250 here on Amazon.
Summary: I like some features of this printer but for the most part what I need it for is printing on cardstock. It will not pull cardstock paper through anymore and I've only had it 6 weeks. I run cardstock about once a month at about 30 sheets at a time, it progressively got worse and no longer pulls it in, it says there's a jam but i've looked everywhere and cleaned the rollers and can't find anything.
Summary: This printer prints great laser quality, BUT...If you are wanting speed this is the slowest printer for a laser that I have ever seen! If speed isn't a problem then a good printer. I give it a 2 star because of the speed or lack of...
