Summary: When the printer goes to "sleep", I lose connection with my computer and the only way to be able to print again is to re-boot my computer. I decided to move the printer to another computer and I am not having that issue - although when it goes into sleep mode now, I have to turn the printer itself off and on to get it to print. But at least that is quicker than re-booting the computer. It does print nicely and is fast, but I was very tempted to return it.
Summary: On paper, this looks like a great printer, but if you are running an office, the printer is worse than useless. The driver only allows you to print and do basic scanning from a server environment (only if you are fortunate enough to have desktop experience installed), otherwise, you can only use the HP Universal Driver, which ONLY allows printing.
Summary: My company purchases two of these for remote offices to replace similar Brother products. About the only thing that works well is the printer and copier features. The scanning however is extremely slow and part of that reason is the file size of the PDFs this thing generates are HUGE compared to what other devices we have on our network. Even scanning at the lowest DPI setting a one page scan to PDF was multiple Megabytes.
Summary: I purchased this MFP less than a year ago. It has been replaced with a refurbished machine 2x already and now gets jams every time I try to print. I have requested a NEW machine or full refund. Have been an HP customer for 34 yrs and they have to send my request to corporate for decision which will take 24 - 48 hrs. I need to work TODAY.
Summary: After reading the reviews, chose this model and am very satisfied. Was easy to set up and use. But trying to use the preset numbers, you have to arrow down 5 names at a time and takes too much time to get to the one that I want to select. Unless I'm missing something - is there an easier way to select a number since I have entered 80 names and numbers?
Summary: I received the printer on 03/13, 2013, and it worked well until about a month ago, when I began noticing that when I copy from the document feeder the copies come out with a black line along the bottom edge of the paper starting from about 1/4 inch from the left side and all across to the right side. I contacted technical support, who had me do a firmware update, followed by a cleaning of the glass and rollers, which did not resolve the problem.
Summary: I received this printer yesterday. I tried to install to my Win7 64 bit HP computer without success. After numerous attempts I used the chat support option on the HP website. This was such a waste of time. The only ideas that the guy had for me was to try to install the software from the website (already tried), and to make sure that I had tried to install from the disk ( I had). Then he had me move it (43 lb. printer) to a different office. That computer worked.
Mediocre Scanning Quality / Now Manual Feed Problem

Summary: I just had one delivered (couldn't buy from Amazon, as they do not sell in the country I am in currently) and tested the scanning option into PDF immediately, as we had to urgently scan documents to send out via e-mail. HP has a worldwide product apparently, as the unit prompted me to choose from a myriad of countries to configure it in.
Summary: I purchased this product, as a home office printer, I work from home, but I found the set up to be extremely complicated, and even with technical assistance from HP, I cant get this expensive device to function to its full potential. i.e. faxing and networking.
