Excerpt: This unit is just an OK multi function printer. The print quality is excellent but it is slow on both the first page and following pages. It is also missing a second tray for envelopes, etc. Its duplexing function is great, however. It replaced a Canon Imageclass 4370 monochrome printer and a Canon iP3500 inkjet, both of which I have beat to death. If I could go back to that combination, I would.
Excerpt: Nice printer, a little louder than my last HP LaserJet, but OK. It had some trouble finding my wireless network during the initial setup, so a 10 minute setup took over three hours to complete. Very frustrating! Instructions could have been clearer. After reading through their help screens and manually adjusting some network settings I finally got it to connect, and now it works fine.
Summary: The fax printer feature does not work via wireless. It only works via a USB connection. I sometimes need to fax a document from the computer. When connected via wireless, this feature does not work. I am using Windows 8.1. I suspect that this printer is not fully compatible with Windows 8.1.
Excerpt: This is a good printer for the cost. I had thought it would print double sided but only if it is feed manually which is kind of a pain. The Scan function is pretty fast and has options to scan to folders and not just to the same file. However the feed is very noisy and can be a distraction while on the phone. Overall is services the purpose for home office and regular use. Ink usage has been very efficient and has cut my cost for printing down significantly.
Summary: I print 10 - 15 letters per day. unlike most printers, there is no envelope slot, so I have to open the only paper tray, pull out paper, place in the envelopes, and then print the envelopes, and replace the paper in the printer. It's unnecessary and a time waste. For a high volume professional printer, this is disappointing.
Summary: I love my brand-new HP all-in-one printer because it not only prints from my PC but also from my smartphone. This printer has a clear display on the front panel, easy to replace toner cartridges, and a simple setting for configuration.
Excerpt: This printer was difficult to install. I have a Dell computer and had to install multiple times without success and now have a copy of the printer in my devices. It would not recognize the printer even with the disc. I haven't had it long enough to really comment on any other issues. I also thought it printed double sided automatically; however it only does that manually. I specifically asked when I purchased it.
Excerpt: I was excited to get my first Laserjet until I got it connected and began to use it. I was very disappointed that it would not print double sided automaticly. I do a lot of printing and do not like to waste paper.
