keep the replacement toner handy...

Summary: I don't know if we recieved two duds, or what have you but this printer is the absolute worst printer we've ever purchased from hp. We were looking for something more office ready than an inkjet printer for color, but this thing blows through ink like there's no tomorrow. Faxing works sometimes, sometimes it wont send the fax successfully sometimes it will, its weird why or how this happens, we can't figure it out.
Summary: No manual feed tray... To print a single envelope or a single legal page, HP said to empty paper tray and re-configure for the single envelope or legal page. HP support very lacking (Both in Support & English) Not auto-duplex capable.
Summary: I called tech support before I bought this printer and they told me I could print in mirror image. After I down loaded the manual I could not find any reference to address mirror image printing. I joined the HP forum in hopes that someone might have suggestions. I called HP support and they said I need to buy a warranty in order to get support. I just received this printer last Friday, why do I need to pay more money to learn how to operate this printer.
Summary: Actually I love this printer even though it is quite slow in printing. But what I have discovered is that even if you print in BLACK it automatically sets it to greyscale which uses all the color toners as well! Is this HP's way of getting us to use up the color toners as well even if we don't want to use them??? Try it! Set it to print in black and then check the Color tab and it automatically set it to greyscale which uses color toners.
Summary: I read about this printer allot before ordering and the documentation I found said it did duplexing. Well it sort of does. You print the odd pages then put the paper back in and print the even pages. I call this misleading advertising on the part of HP. On a side note, Amazon has never had stellar write ups on any of their produces. Their saving grace is a good return policy.
Summary: I purchased this printer from a retail store. While it does a good job printing and I love the wireless set up, scanning pictures with this yields poor quality scans. I purchased this just before my sons wedding so that I could scan childhood pictures. Even the clearest film pictures scanned fuzzy. I set the scanner for the highest quality and resolution which resulted in a ridiculous amount of time with no improvement. If you want this for photo scanning look elsewhere.
Summary: Bought this printer because I was tired of inkjet printers drying out before you get a decent amount of printed pages. This printer seems okay, but the instructions are useless and the installation software is rubbish. It took hours to get to the point where it reported that it was 99% done and it NEVER completed. This is a disgrace.
Summary: Bought this to replace a Brother Inkjet I had for some 10 years with no other problems till it eventually gave up. This was my first laser jet and opted for a HP printer due to the name and price. I have to say the print quality is excellent but the photocopying side is very poor. The machine when photocopying is very noisy and you have to adjust the darkness to full to be able to see your greyscale copy properly.
Summary: I have now bought the M276nw printer, which is the wireless version of the M276n printer. Please note the M276n is NOT wireless, contrary to how it is described in several places, inlcuding on Amazon. I ordered the printer, received it, unpacked it and spent some time trying to attach it to my network before I realised that I had been mis-sold a printer that was not wireless.
