HP LaserJet Pro 100 M175nw Laser Multifunction Printer
6 March 2015
Excerpt: For the same money as a higher-end inkjet photo printer, HP offers the entry-level LaserJet Pro M175nw. The term "entry level" is relative, though this is the most affordable color laser multifunction printer HP offers, it matches up with many home consumer-oriented machines when it comes to features.
Conclusion: We fully recommend this product for numerous reasons. The is not only a reliable 3-in-one product, but it's compact, offers speedy monochrome prints times that are of good quality, has wireless network connectivity, and also has some great features such as ePrint technology and a 35-sheet ADF. Moreover, we didn't come to any shocking results during our tests to deter us from recommending the M175nw.
Pros: Quick monochrome print speeds, Great quality prints, Compact for its class, HP ePrint enabled
Cons: Slower color print/first page out speeds, No EconoMode (HP's toner saver mode)
Summary: A good MFP for the (relatively inexpensive) price, giving good colour printing and scanning capabilities, but the copier function could do with better resolution than the currrent 300 x 300 dpi spec. Wi-Fi Direct is good for businesses and will probably save a lot of helpdesk calls for usernames and passwords for on-the-fly printing, since users won't need to log on to Wi-Fi networks.
Pros: Good print quality; Smart Install gives easier and quicker installs.
