Summary: Easily the WORST printer i have ever seen in my entire life. On my second one in less than a week, after the first one was a steaming pile of junk. HP have the freaking nerve to try and send me a refurb one to replace the first one, when it had only printed about 10 pages.
Cons: Everything else. Jams frequently, print quality terrible on anything but plain white paper. Completely unable to print on odd paper sizes. It's from HP.
Summary: I'm currently awaiting HP to send me my 3rd printer and have yet to actually use the machine. First one, damaged in shipping. Second one, damaged in shipping. Third one, probably going to be damaged in shipping. I purchased a brand new model, but it was damaged and kept jamming.

OK printer for paper, not envelopes and forget HP support

Summary: We purchased this printer and had problems from day one with smearing and black marks when printing envelopes (paper tray and env feeder). After 4 months of support calls and HP techs, HP finally said the printer is designed to print only on HP envelopes.
Summary: We purchased the 4014 through Amazon who got it through TekGalaxy. Several problems, we received it promptly. The person who the box was for open and unpackaged it, throwing out the box - in our compactor. 1st bad - our bad.
Cons: We ordered several of these. Had one bad, right out of the box. Called HP, who didn't believe I tried everything to fix this... Talked to 7 different people (what a joke). The next one they sent has a bad fuser, so now they are sending me a fuser. Just today, I have one that keeps wanting to upda...

Pros: Newegg return/replacement policy is the only positive here..
Cons: HP Support of their products... This unit had print jams right out of the box. Changed paper, slowed speed down... Jam everytime you print multi pages.. Return shipping on Laser printer is not cheap, especially all the way the CA.
Excerpt: Am 27.03.2009 ist das Gerät vom Händler geliefert worden. Nachdem das dritte Austauschgerät defekt geliefert wurde, kann ich nur dringend empfehlen, dieses Modell nicht zu kaufen. Das Problem scheint die Netzwerkkarte des Druckers zu sein. Offensichtlich hat HP dieses Problem nicht im Griff.
