Summary: Don't buy this bought this one 2-3 years ago, after printed 2000 pages, the printer can't print straight labels, after numerous phone calls and technician repairs, still won't fix the problem.
Summary: I can’t seem to find a printer driver for the printer which is compatible with Windows 7. Each and every time I want to use the printer it reports it is off line. I have to uninstall the previous installed printer and reinstall a new instance of the same printer so it will be on line. Once the printer is operational it works great, very fast with great quality.
Summary: I bought this network printer last year for my office. It replaced a noisy Dell printer. So far, I have had to call the service guy 4 times altogether. 3 times there was a software glitch. The 4th time he overhauled the whole printer and replaced some parts. It seems to be fine now (fingers crossed). Fortunately, it is still in warranty. Other than that, it is a excellent office network printer. Unfortunately, the toner only lasts 10,000 copies. That makes it expensive.
Summary: We purchased 2 of these printers for our office. The one has always worked great, but the other one only worked for about a week and then started having problems. The first problem was paper jams, and then it started being extremely loud when attempting to print. The sound and issue I believe was the motor. Awesome printer overall, furthermore, the seller and HP were quick to help and replace the defective printer.
Summary: I use this printer in an accounting office. The printer is fast and that is great for me. But I have to write individual checks constantly all day. Using the pull down tray is something I use consistently. I wish I would have known that it does not automatically pull from that tray if you have something in it. If it does not read that something is on that tray it will print on the paper from the bottom tray.
Summary: This is the third of this model Laserjet that I've bought. It's a workhorse and we use it as a check printer in the office as well as another one as heavy duty report printer. Looks like it's made nicely and worked great.
Solidly Built, Easy Network Install (info for Win7 Network here)
10 November 2011
Summary: The DVD that came with the product would not load the drivers. Same error several times with varied settings. However, they were still very easy to install on a Win7 network. 1. Plug it into the network using a regular LAN cable. 2. DO NOT allow windows to autoinstall a driver or use the CD's driver. It will be very slow. Instead download the PCL 6 driver package from HP's website. 3.
Summary: I bought this to replace a Dell printer that did not live up to its promise. I can only say that I am very satisfied. Easy to set up and netwok. Quiet and smooth. Occasionally, there is a delay in printing and I have not yet figured out if it has something to do with the software on our PCs or the pre-installed software in the printer.
