    In a vacuum, the HP LaserJet 2727nf is a fine mono laser multifunction for small offices. But its price and feature set are out of whack with the competition: you can get more for the same money, or you can pay less for the same features. Read more

    • Fast print speeds; great print quality; control panel is well-organized and easy to use; feature set is appropriate for small offices.
    • Slow scans; scan quality needs improvement; a bit pricey for a mono laser multifunction.

    Had this unit for about 6 months. After about 4 months the ADF started jamming during document feeds. Also got some other scanner error, which I don't remember, but was able to correct. Finally today after 6 months, I started getting a scanner error code 5. Took it to an authorized HP repair shop. They opened a case with HP, who reported this is a common issue with this model. I was offered the choice of a repair; direct replacement; or a new model M1536. Read more

    This printer does the job. I've purchased many of these but seem to experience problems with top document feeder after long runs. However this machine under normal conditions does a great job. Read more

    I used this printer for a small business (2 people) that has minimal printing/scanning/faxing needs. It worked pretty fine up until the 13th month, one month after the factory warranty expired, then it slowly started to fail. First the machine would randomly shut down and need to be completely rebooted, then it started to print once in a while (50% of the time) then the copy and scan function stopped working completely.     • worked pretty good for 13 months, no real issue considering we use about twice a week mainly for scanning. 15 months later printer function still works.
    • 15 months after purchase, copier, scanner, fax do not work.

    Printer died in less than a year. Still under warranty but no HP service centers in my area and they won't honor express exchange either so I'm stuck with a $200 shipping cost to get it repaired. I have older HP printers that are still going after 10 years but HP's quality has slipped to nonexistant. Never another HP printer for me. Read more

  5. Powers up then freeze after 14 months

    I used this printer for my printing/copying/faxing needs. It worked well up until the 14th month. Since then, on power up, the machine freezes and the display goes blank. After several power cycles I was able to get the printer back on-line. I then updated to the latest frimware and tried re-initializing the NVRAM and it froze again. Since then it stays on only for an hour or two, then it freezes again. Read more

The first one has an input capacity of up to 50 sheets and can accommodate the use of paper sizes from 3.0 x 5.0 inches to 8.5 x 14.0 inches. The second one is a 250-sheet capacity tray for papers from 5.8 x 8.3 to 8.5 x 14.0 inches in size. It also features a 50-sheet capacity automatic document feeder (ADF) for paper sizes from 5.5 x 5.0 inches to 8.5 x 14.0 inches in size.

Printer

The HP LaserJet M2727nf MFP features a monochrome laser printer that can up to a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. Maximum print speeds can range from 8 pages per minute up to 27 pages per minute depending on the print setting.

Scanner

The LaserJet M2727nf MFP can scan using its 8.5 x 11.7-inch flatbed or the ADF. Scanning resolution is at 1200 x 1200 dpi which can be enhanced up to 19,200 dpi.

Copier

The HP LaserJet M2727nf MFP’s copier can produce copies at up to 600 x 600 dpi. Multiple copying is supported up to 99 copies. It also has features for reducing and enlarging from 25% to 400%.

Fax Machine

The HP LaserJet M2727nf MFP’s fax machine can transmit documents at up to 3 seconds per page. Fax resolution is at 300 x 300 dpi. It also has a fax memory of up to 600 pages.
