It's a Good Printer. HP replaced shortly after a year. Things are working fine once again.

Summary: I use Linux and rarely use Windows. I know Windows software/drivers are terrible updating as you can never tell if you need to fully uninstall older software or just install over it. With Linux, I just use CUPS and things just work.
Summary: This is a really good printer. Not GREAT but good. We are using this as an office printer so we use it a lot. Our last one lasted 2 years almost before breaking down. If its at home and you don't print all the time you will probably get more years out of it than you need.
Summary: I really like this machine for the hardeware configuration - nice product, nice functionality, nice footprint and everything works from the console of the machine just fine. Had problems with the Toolbox utilities, and eventually couldn't scan.
Be prepared if you have your fax hooked up to a modem!

Summary: This is a great all-in-one product, but beware if you have a fax line that comes in through a modem. Apparently, the HP Laser Jet series is not compatible with digital signals. you will have to purchase a modular filter (I got one from Radio Shack for $20).
Summary: This piece of office equipment is great. Fast printing, copying, faxing and scanning. Has a great software for either Mac or PC, which is a great advantage in a office with several computers with differents OS.
Summary: We got the printer about a month ago and it's been working well. It prints quickly and clearly and scans cleanly. We do not use the fax function. My only complaint (and the reason for the four stars rather than five) is that we must start the scan from the computer--it won't work to press the scan...
Summary: I'm able to use this from my Macintosh and from windows using Parallels. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the other reviews that claim it does not receive faxes. I do not use this feature and have not tested it.
