Summary: Got this printer for $10 AS-IS with the note that it freezes after a print job. Installed it while writing this. Hey, there is a "new" firmware out which can be downloaded from HP, the driver suite will also get it automatically during install.
Summary: I understand that this printer has a one year warranty, and I am over it by 2 months. But for a printer to function for this short of time for this high price I will look elsewhere. I have printer less than 200 pages.
Pros: Fast printing, large tray for paper, scanning is above average.
Cons: After 14 months and VERY low usage (I am basically paperless) this printer began to have issues with quick feeding paper through it. It will happen if my laptop is or is not connected. Sends a single line of wingdings on each page. Very flimsy plastic casing.
Summary: This printer died on us after about 2 months of light use. Nothing from the LCD screen when attempting to turn off/on. It was still under HP warranty and they offered me a deal where I would pay $80 for them to fix it the next day. Ha!
Summary: When I first started using this printer, it worked pretty well. The installation was tougher than other printers, but we got them set up. After about 2 years it started acting up and had trouble connecting to my computers through the network. Finally one day it stopped completely.
Summary: I don't know what has happened to HP. They used to make well rounded good products. Now they make disposable half-assed products. This one is great as a multifunction printer/scanner/fax if you leave it on your desk.
Summary: We were really in need of a multifunctional printer such as the HP LaserJet 1522nf, and it did okay for a while. We never got the "Scan to PC" to work, but we worked around it. It was handy for copies and, of course, printing, but one day it just started dying.
Summary: I should have learned my lesson from the first HP Printer I owned, the HP Color LaserJet 1600. I took a baseball bat to that one and got the HP Laserjet M1522nf. I was hoping my mistake in getting the HP 1600 was buying a color printer when all I really needed was black & white.
HP still has no Windows 7 x64 driver for this Device

Summary: I have several computers attached to my home network: A mac, a Vista x32, and a Vista x64. Originally, the printer worked on all three. A few weeks into ownership, I began experiencing problems with the vista x64 os system.
Summary: I owned this MFP for about 4 weeks before it completely died. For about 2-3 weeks before it died I often noticed that it was unresponsive after having been idle for a day or so. The display would show the wrong date and time and none of the buttons could wake the machine up.
