I love the fact lasers are so cheap today - just ...

Summary: I bought this a year after it was released and it's still going. The toner is not cheap - but it lasts forever which makes it cheap. I use this for print only - so apparently it has scanning issues - but it's a tank none-the-less.
OK Until Infamous HP Scanner Bulb Warm Up Problem. Miss it.

Summary: Was running OK for several years until the scanner bulb warm up problem which so many have had with their HP multi-function printers came up. I googled and said wow; so many have had the same problem, without a definitive solution. I cleaned the mirrors as suggested by some, it did not work for me.
Even after more than six years, it's still work perfectly!

Summary: This thing just lasts for months and months on a single toner. It's good to know HP makes quality products that last as long the 3055. Granted, the fax part is all but useless today, but the scan, copy and print functions are used nearly every day.
Summary: The seller mansion it was like new. When I received it, I get shock. It pack with news paper. Some parts are fall apart. No instuction to put it together. No manual. No install software. No driver. I fell very sorry to buy that printer.
Summary: Only had like 1 jam with this printer in the 3+ years of use so far. Good, solid workhorse printer. The fax works solidly as well (although I wish there was a way to turn off the printing of burst/summary pages JUST for inbound non-fax calls).
Summary: I believe the actual release date of this device is in 2005 or 2006. The hardware seems to be excellent, solid, built like a tank, worthy of HP's reputation. However, the software definitely could use improvement, and I am not even referring to it not working with Vista or Win 7.
