Summary: This printer is finally bein retired after a year because the screen no longer illuminates (menaing there is no way to communicate with the printer). This appears to be a frequent issue. This printer frequently jams if there are more than a few sheets of paper in reserve.
Summary: This was a fun printer until the scanner stopped working reliably about 13 months after purchase. Sometimes the scanner light would not come on and it would scan a black page. Sometimes the scanner would go across and get stuck and the scan would freeze at half of the page.
Summary: I have owned this machine for about two years now. Overall I am very dissatisfied with it. When it works, it works fine. I use it mainly for scanning, very little for printing pictures. I have this connected to an iMac running the current OSX software, currently 10.11.x.
Summary: it has nice look, but works terrible. doesn't recommend you, even amazon didn't give me refund. so now i have part time work printer at home. giving it 2 stars because SOMETIMES it might work.
Summary: I bought this to replace my old Photosmart 2610, which served me well for many years. I was disappointed within 2 weeks with my new Envy. It was very easy to set up, and it worked just fine when I printed a few individual photos.
Summary: I have had nothing but trouble trying to use the print and scan features of the printer. Either the printer failures to recognize the computer (MacBook Air) or the computer fails to recognize the printer. Both are set up to run wireless on the same network and each one works fine with my router.
Summary: I was so excited to get this state of the art printer to replace the multiple printer/scanner/copiers we had in our house. I was even more excited that it was wireless and we would finally be able to print regardless of the status of a host computer, and from any device.
Summary: The first printer had to be sent back because the scanner didn't work. I've had intermittent issues with the scanner not working on the second one too. I don't even know at this point if it's software or hardware. I'm not very happy so far. Seems too fancy for it's own good.
Summary: I already had ink in the drawer, so I thought, ok, I know this printer. However, they are always buggy. You must always call support when installing, which gives them an opportunity to sell you a warranty. Now It is hooked up to spam. To get it unhooked from the spam source, I have to re install it.
