Summary: Just after the one year warranty expired for my unit, the scan/copy function stopped working. The first thing HP technical support asked was "Does the scan light illuminate in the lid mechanism?" I replied "no" and explained that the scan/camera bar in the lid doesn't even move anymore.
Summary: Seemed like a great solution, but doesn't play well with the Mac. When it worked, it worked great, but I usually had to power off the scanner and my powerbook to get the scanner to connect. It died completely after about a year of light use. Can't recommend.
Summary: Unfortunately, this is a poor printer for weekly use. Scan only works 1 page at a time. Ink runs out after modest use. There are seemingly endless machinations during warm-up and print prep, when you just need quick action. Avoid.

Summary: Let me just say that when I first got this printer I thought it was great. It is compact, has all the features that I was looking for in an all-in-one printer. However, I bought the printer in April 2013.

Summary: Having a scanner is very important for me and the scanner on this stop working after a little over a year (convenient) and now it's worthless to me. Anyone want a eprint network printer that won't scan? I'll give it to you.
Summary: Look at this beautiful printer. Isn't it pretty? So black and glossy and shiny. Even has an LCD touch display. Did I say how pretty it is? That's about all this thing is worth. Had it just over a year. The sensor on the scanner bar quit working just 2 months in with VERY little use.
You can't scan books or 3-D objects with this thing.

Summary: Why are the big computer manufacturers so desperate to go back to the days of tractor-feed machines? Seriously, do they just have fond memories of tearing off the perforated strips on the sides and using them for confetti?
