Connects to wireless just fine, but stops responding to IP packets
2 weeks ago
Summary: Pros: Small footprint, aesthetics, quiet. Cons: Ink runs out quickly, does not hold much paper. Biggest gripe: After 6 months of use it now constantly drops off the network. Connects to wireless just fine, but stops responding to IP packets. Sometimes a reboot fixes the problem, sometimes it does not. Happens when IP setting are in automatic (DHCP) or manually set.
Summary: I bought this printer because of the good price point and the attractive, sleek aesthetics. What a mistake! It has been a source of constant frustration as it is impossible to make copies with any consistency as the paper is constantly jamming which requires major surgery each time you attempt to print. After tonight I finally gave up and ordered a new Brother printer, it was the only thing that kept me from picking up the HP piece of junk and slamming it to the floor.
Summary: I like my new printer. For me it is up to date and has some features that I did not have on my old printer. However, what I did not like was that the screen covers the paper tray and one never knows when you are out of paper until you run out! There should be an indicator the screen saying "paper getting low." Also, the instructions could be more detailed for people who are not computer savy. I would recommend this printer.
Summary: After many different printer usage. I was surprised to learn that there is a printer out there that caters to my needs. I travel and have had to locate fax friendly businesses in the past. No more. This is a very travel friendly printer. I am also printing from my phone. Hubby's phone too. I love this printer and I never thought I would have been the one to say that. Different printers have different features, this one serves me well.
Summary: I generally like this printer because it has all the functionality you can think of that comes in a sleek, good looking package. One complaint I have about this printer is that the automatic moving face gets stuck sometimes and makes this horrible grinding sound. Not sure what causes it but my guess is dust. The second complaint is the touchscreen is not very responsive. Expect a lot of wrong button taps.
Summary: Looking at the reviews and having other HP products I wanted to get the best HP printer I could for the money???? My problem is with the ink the cartgs. are smallllllll. Wish I had known. Ink is a killer. make sure you do your research and count the cost of the ink....
