Summary: It's compact and sleek looking. The display panel is touch screen and flips up to various angles for easy reach and reading. When you print, the display screen goes up automatically, the paper catcher swings out, and the paper comes out. When you take the paper off the printer, it all closes back up again. Unfortunately, it was a bit quirky to set up (ended up having to disconnect it from the network and reconnect it a couple times to get any computer to see it).
Summary: I have owned HP printers since my first computer. When I went to Staples to buy ink about eight months ago, I saw a Kodak printer for just a tad more than the replacement cartridges and was swayed by the hype I saw in their commercials regarding the cost if ink savings. What a piece of junk....ink would dry out almost immediately!!!! I purchased the Envy and can't believe the quality!! It is an amazing printer in EVERY WAY.
Summary: I bought the Envy 114E for myself and loved it. It was very attractive, didn't take up much space, loved that it was wireless. I loved it so much that a bought a 2nd one for my daughter. If I would have written a review within the first few months I would have given it a 5 star rating. It was wonderful. The problem came at the one year point just as the warranties expired.
Summary: This printer cost way more than it is worth, if it worked property it would be worth even more than the price, but programming it for wireless or wifi is not easy, plus it does not retain passwords within it's memory well. If you connect it using USB then it does not do any air print, so you can save money if you just need a inkjet usb printer, as for air play devices I think HP is a few years away from designing something that actually works.
Summary: Update: I have put up with this printer as long as I could. I have had this printer for about a year now and am looking for a new printer. The printer goes through way too much ink. I just replaced the ink cartridges 3 weeks ago and it's saying the ink is low again. I don't print photos or graphics, just word documents. And I print less than 15 pages a week (mostly spelling and vocab lists, overviews, etc., for my kids).
Summary: I like the all in one in a small package. It fits perfectly on my small desk. The only thing I wish it had was regular faxing and not e-fax where you have to pay a monthly fee for. But everything else is great.
