Summary: CONSUMER ADVOCATE Long time use report HP Envy 100 D410a- I have some impressions about this printer, after using it for about 3 yrs. First of all, this is a heavy printer, quality materials. used through art. If you follow the manual during setup, it is setup very easily. This model was the first to use AIRPRINT and Wifi for wireless use with iPads, most other platforms running MAC iOS and Windows Pro XP and higher.I bought this printer to,use my ipad2.
Summary: I've owned this printer for about a year. The only things I can honestly say I like about it is that it has a low profile, and it's wireless. However, as a printer, it's the worst I've ever owned, and there are many better wireless printers on the market now. It devours the ink, mostly because the printing is horrid on "draft" mode, so I always have to use "best." It feels like I'm constantly changing ink.

Summary: Beautiful design and easy on the eye. Looks like home electronics should. The front display is very low quality. Will fail in a few months. Mine failed 3 times in a year! I just gave up. Had great potential. But falls short in build quality in a big way.

Summary: I didn't bother to actually research this printer till after purchase. On Cnet it got something less than perfect reviews. I returned this printer before i had a chance to use it. it might be perfect for other, but it wasn't going to suit my needs.
Summary: After 3years of working properly, the scanner and the copier functions ceased to work. The internet is littered w/ examples of this happening to other owners of the Envy. In my case I was still able to use the printer function, so I am giving it 3 stars. It was a fairly pricey machine and it's disappointing that the manufacturer doesn't stand by it beyond the one year warranty.
Pros: Slim, sleek, lots of potential. Loved the eprint function as well as the ability to email the printer from afar and have it print. That came in handy.
Cons: Scanner and copier function broke down and HPs only solution was to buy a new printer.
