    For the money (about 50 bucks), it's hard to raise a complaint about this printer. It did an excellent job on black-and-white as well as color graphics, and photos look great as well. While it lacks a fax and is made for casual use only, it still performs as requested. For heavier use, though, the consumables (replacement inkjet tanks) might eliminate any initial cost savings.     I purchased this printer, having had nothing but perfectly fine experiences with HP printers in the past. I followed all the instructions, loading the software, powering it up, etc. The first time I tried to print from MS Word, Word totally crashed and continued often and repeated crashes until Microsoft even inquired about the problem. I spent way too much time on the phone with the HP rep trying to figure if there was some missing driver or something that could be done... Read more

    This printer is good enough. Scanner is terrific. I had no problem setting the printer up, getting the ink cartridges in, everything worked just the way it was supposed to. HP is great and I highly recommend this printer for a student or home use. Comment Read more
