Not a bad printer, but it drinks ink and the print rollers aren't very durable
24 May 2010
Summary: The HP F380 All-in-One printer, scanner, and copier isn't a bad item. The print quality is good, the time it takes for each page to print is not slow but not fast, either. It is acceptable for me personally. The scanner is a nice convenience and works fine. The copier is another nice convenience.
Summary: This is another good printer for under $90, but they all seem to have their tradeoffs. I've been using Epsons for years now, and Epsons tend to have much better quality than I've experienced from the HP so far. (Possibly because Epsons go up to 5760 DPI). Like so many other reviews: 1.
Summary: Love this printer, but it is totally a toner hog. I use this for work in my home office. Quality of the print is great. Ease in use is "ok". The scanner feature is not the most friendly for my generation. The biggie "bad" feature---toner hog.
Summary: I got this free from HP when I bought a computer. I suspect HP sells these printers so cheaply because they make bigger money selling you ink. I haven't had any problems with it - software or performance. But it's just adequate. After making 10 copies the ink indicator was at 2/3.
Summary: what i didnt like about this printer was that it doesn't come with the printer usb cable. you have to buy it seperate. other than that, it is a good printer for the price although the additonal costs from paying for hp ink will add up eventually
Summary: At the time when I purchased this, it was quite a good value for money for a printer/scanner. HP do make their printers cheap and the ink expensive though so in the long run it could be quite expensive. The printer eats up ink like crazy although the quality of the print-out is quite standard.
Excerpt: I bought this printer in my first term at uni, for the bargain price of £30, which I thought was pretty decent for a printer, scanner and copier. I try not to use it excessively, so I have only had to change the ink twice since November.
Summary: If you are wondering how HP can sell a combined printer, scanner and photocopier so cheaply, the answer probably lies in the cost of replacement cartridges. The printer itself seems fine. No complaints here. But I was alarmed to note that the black cartridge contains 5ml of ink.
