Hewitt D. Bradley, Amazon

  • Summary: Piece of junk. The paper keep jamming no matter what I did. Rather than return it, I threw it in the trash the next day. It's in a landfill now where it belongs.

sikat, ReviewStream
2 April 2009
  • Excerpt: I have long wanted to buy a scanner and printer. Having both machines in my workstation requires ample space so I opted for a multifunction printer. My favorite computer ship does not have the brand and model that I originally wanted so I ended up with this unit. The unit is …

I own the older brother

Robert M., Newegg
30 May 2007
  • Summary: I Own the HP PSC 1315v which the older brother of this printer and have had it for nearly two years, so I feel I can say the following... Yes the ink that comes with the printer runs out quick, DUH! How do you think they make their money. Selling you a $120.00 for $80.00? NO.
  • Pros: Dependable, very much so.
  • Cons: Some software troubles, but were solved after finding patches at HP

Ink cartridges too small

Eric M., Newegg
20 May 2007
  • Summary: Changing print options don't always work correctly. The install for the printer is also way to long upwards of 10 mins. Not a major issue but its annoying. Disappointing for an HP though which is normally really good.
  • Pros: When it works it does work pretty well.
  • Cons: The ink cartridge is way to small, and too costly for its size. Also every time you install a new cartridge it does a test print that takes a large amount of the little ink in the cartridge. Also if you run out of paper and press the wrong button on the printer, it will freeze until you restart i...

Great!

David W., Newegg
12 March 2007
  • Summary: What do people expect from a $xx printer? I'm impressed with it's speed, and photo quality (buy the #58 photo 6-ink). I scanned in over 300 photos, software splits up 3 photos into 3 seprate files when i lay 3 on the scan bed at once. Saves right to folder if you select that option.
  • Pros: Print, copy, scan, quick, easy to use buttons
  • Cons: none

Nice but noisey

Jen I., Newegg
1 March 2007
  • Pros: Easy setup. no hassles whatsoever with the software or the cartridge installation.
  • Cons: Not really a con but you will see the printer makes a little more noise (when scanning) then what I'm comfortable with. Other then that it prints great, scans easy and does everything it claims to do. Very user friendly and has a light-weight construction.
