Excerpt: Can convert this to a photot printer without buying something else? How can I get the best out of this HP Deskjet D2660? What kind of printer ink would be the best for this type of printer? What or if the graphics can be better? What all can you do with a inkjet printer? Please be spacific! I want to get the best out of my printer, so let me evrything about this. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
Summary: The printer is everything you'd expect by a name you can trust: HP. However, use Custom Install, not the installation disk (saves you from bloatware). The print quality and speed are both good. Overall A+ Printer!
Summary: I am delighted with the HP 2660. It has a smaller footprint on my desk than my previous printer and is much, much quieter. It installed very easily (I am not tech savvy) and went to work right away. The print quality is fine. It's a tad slow but that's not a major problem for me.
Summary: I've had this printer for about 2 weeks now. I had no problems with installation or it's regular printing. The photo quailty printing is not as good as my old HP 3420 printer. When you install this printer you do have to read what it is installing. You do have to choose NOT to install the Yahoo toolbar.
Summary: I've installed a great many printers over the years, and this is the first time I've ever had such a mess of bloatware (some of it borderline spyware) imposed on my computer by an installation disk. Should have used Custom Install. However, Typical Install for a new device - regardless of brand - has never before added Yahoo Toolbar to my Internet Explorer, and changed my Yahoo Mail chat preference! What has either to do with a printer, for heaven's sake?
