Initial sporadic operation; works with driver download
4 March 2014
Summary: I've upgraded my review from a 1 to 4. Initial problems with messages like "Printer Error" or "Failure to communicate with printer", especially for scan mode, resolved themselves after several reboots.
Summary: For what you pay, this thing works very well. The ink costs more than the printer and the printing isn't the clearest; however, for the price, you can't be the functionality. Wifi option is hard to setup, also this does not work with current ipads etc...
Summary: This is a good printer for the price. My only critic is that the ink cartridges are very expensive and they don't tend to last very long - even the name brand ones. Otherwise, this printer will "do the trick" if you can't afford the more expensive printers on the market.
Summary: I give it four stars because HP sells the ink (XL) for the price of the printer. However it serves my needs well since I can scan and make the occasional copy when required and this is a plus.
Summary: This was a refurb printer I needed for my minimal printing applications. I like that it has separate color and b/w print cartridges. Beware that the printer cable is only about 2 feet long instead of the expected 6-8 feet. I will have to buy a new one.
Summary: Excellent inexpensive printer if your main interest is in printing documents. Ink life is very good, functionality is great.... utilizing on a Wi-Fi network and it performs much better than my more expensive HP and Canon printers using WiFi. Overall for $ 50 +/- you cant beat the value
Summary: We have had this printer for almost 2 years and use it for small, infrequent print jobs - like printing a recipe, directions, making copies, occasional scanning. So far it has met our needs and I've only had to replace the black ink cartridge one time.
