Summary: I had to grade on a curve here or else it would be lower. HP forces you to take the <explicative>-ware to load the drivers but so does everybody else pretty much. There is a workaround though if you have the driver CD: put it in and load the driver through your device manager search function.
Summary: I bought this printer 2 years ago and we still use it today. (That right there says something about it) I print a page or two a week though, nothing too intense. The ink cartridges have just run out this week and I think I'll just buy a replacement printer instead of getting new ink.
Summary: I received this printer from Apple for free, so I'm not going to complain too much. However, it has broken on me before (which forced me to completely clean the whole thing out). It kept saying that there was not any paper in the tray, and when it would feed it would get jammed.
Summary: The Deskjet 3050 copies, prints, and scans as advertised - but don't expect the speed or quality of higher priced printers. I bought this printer primarily because of the affordable price point.
Not for those who want to use wireless without frequent trouble
17 February 2014
Summary: The 3050 prints nicely. If you have it connected by USB cable you're fine. If you want it as a set it and forget it wireless printer look elsewhere. This printer like many other low end HP printers has serious issues staying connected even in strong networks.
Summary: I believe in HP printer quality as I have owned their products before I purchased this one. i bought this as its small, less weight & wont take up much space. I bought this in August, 2012. Fast forward 9 months it is not in the best printing condition.
Summary: This is a cheap printer. But what do you expect for under $100. The paper feeder broke after 9 months. This is an ink gusler. Thanks heavens Costco sells the print cartridges and usually has them on sale when I need them.
