the thing that I dislike most is that when you scan

Summary: This was not the printer/scanner/copier that I wanted; this one was chosen for me by my former husband (another reason he's gone now). It works well, however, the thing that I dislike most is that when you scan, you can save your scans only as a pdf, jpg or some other file. There is no scanning a text document and saving it as a text file. That is my biggest complaint about it. The ink is affordable. I've never had a problem with it. Would I buy it again?
Summary: nice compact, prints beautiful.....but I was absolutely bummed when I found out it will NOT print on both sides! Not even an option! You have to set it to print "even" pages then turn the paper and print the "odd" pages! Archaic! I didn't know anyone still made printers that don't print on both sides! If you only need to print one-sided pages it is the printer for YOU!
Summary: Though I did keep this product, there was nothing on the HP instruction book that came with it or on the Hp support site when I tried to use my Hp Solutions Center that told me this printer does not use HP Solution Center and it ended up causing me to get into a snafu trying to download HP Solutions Center and I ended up spending 5 times what I paid for this printer and was also led to believe it would take the 60 inkjet cartridges and it didn't so I was stuck trying to...
Summary: I repeat, BUY A USB CABLE. This purchase would otherwise be 5 stars, considering it comes with all you need. The printer works fine, the ink cartridges insert easily and set up takes about 5 minutes.
Summary: there was a confusion created as the specification or the additional requirements was not mentioned in the site. After buying the printer, I came to know the usb cable is not part of the supply and I had to order that separately and wait for it to start using the printer.
