Does the job, but nothing special and far better printers out there
31 May 2014
Summary: This printer is probably ideal for someone who prints mostly documents on an occasional basis. If you do a lot of printing, the ink costs will soon mount up as the supplied black and colour ink cartridges will run out pretty quickly. Most people will probably find it poor value for money given the mediocre print quality. The print quality if you attempt to print photographs is poor and the page can be very wet and the ink can run.
Excerpt: Introduction:- The Hewlett Packard 1050A J410G printer that I am reviewing here was actually an emergency purchase after our old Epson printer give up the ghost and I needed to print off a CV for a job application. It just so happened that I spotted this HP printer for sale in our local supermarket for just £30 on my way to trawl around the shops for a reasonably priced basic printer.
Pros: A Relaible Home Printer
Cons: Combined coloured inks, no data cable supplied .
Summary: For the price of this printer it works very well. Easy to install. Had a bit of trouble getting it delivered as the parcel did not have my house number on it so it went back to the factory and I had to chase so took several weeks.
Summary: This is an acceptable basic printer that is suitable for simple school and study printing. However, colour printing is quite slow in comparison with acceptable black & white printing speed, but it is a basic pinter suitable for basic tasks.
Excerpt: . I paid just £17 for mine direct from the Hewlett Packard website, considering the ink alone is worth that I didn't hesitate as I had no printer at the time and my Dad's had just broken, nothing to do with me mind lol. I'm sure other people will find that there are just some things in life they don't get on well with and mine are hoovers, mowers and printers we seem to get through lots no matter whether they are used or new.
