Summary: I wish I could say I like this printer, but actually I dread having to print anything because it's always such a hassle. I hate this printer and can't wait to get a different one. Pros: --can't think of any Cons: --tries to print a test page every time I turn it on, burning ink or forcing manual intervention --I need to print something about once a month, yet I still have to buy ink cartriges every 6 months.
Summary: At first the unit was temperamental and would not work well the ink cartridges. After a couple of days and some cleaning, it starting working well and printing well. I had purchased this used because, I still had several refurbished cartridges to use and go thru a lot of them printing. This is my 3rd PSC 1510 printer. The newer printers and cartridges would be a lot more expensive to use. I have not bought a "new" cartridge in years.
Summary: I needed this printer to print some very important documents I needed to get to the bank, only to realize after unboxing it that there was no USB cable. I thought perhaps I'd overlooked it so I searched the box but it wasn't there. It is listed in very small print on the side of the box that the USB cable is not included. So now I am left to go searching for a 2$ cord that HP couldn't be bothered to include.
Works great, so long as you don't install the HP software

Summary: I bought one of these used and took it home, installed the drivers and software from the HP site and found that the machine complained constantly about not having paper. I only needed it to scan. Didn't matter. Tried using the HP scan software. Wouldn't work. Complains about no paper. I put paper in and, I kid you not, it prints a test page every time I try to scan. I had five test pages before giving up on that.
Summary: Wastes paper and ink by printing test pages for no reason. Refuses to print a black copy if it's out of color ink. Doesn't handle changing paper sizes well. Despite numerous driver updates nothing meaningful has been fixed. I hate this thing with a passion.
And so-called HP Service Partners are nothing more than SALES stores like WalMart that don't do repairs

Summary: hp incompetence: if you spend weeks dealing with alleged customer support (not one american!), filling out and submitting the same worksheet numerous times, THEN if you want replacement you have to give credit card so that they can charge you AGAIN for old printer if not returned within 15 days (and we all know how unreliable mdse shipments can be) or they can just lie and say it wasn't returned in time.
