Would not purchase again!

metro_mom, epinions.com
17 February 2008
  • Summary: I would not recommend this printer. The color laser printer market is growing and it would not take much to beat this printer's quality.
  • Pros: Good quality copies on standard copy paper
  • Cons: Terrible results on heavier papers

Forget about it if you're running Windows 7

James Yeaman, Amazon
24 January 2008
  • Summary: I've thoroughly enjoyed this product...great quality, no fuss, no muss, UNTIL I upgraded to Windows 7. Scanner is DOA. HP can't make it work...and there's no expectation that they will even write the software to support this product in the Windows 7 environment. What a shame. It will print using a generic PCL6 driver, but no scanner functions. I want my money back!

Good communication with seller...defective product may have been damaged by UPS

Christine Brooks, Amazon
24 January 2008
  • Summary: This was a company purchase. The box arrived by UPS in horrible condition...we had to throw the box out. Our IT guy came to set it up and said the software included was not for the printer. The toners were already opened and installed in the printer...new printers usually come with new, unopened starter toners.

Cheap HP Printers hidden TONER costs revealed

J. Bernhoft "NAMStech", Amazon
24 January 2008
  • Summary: Beware of HP CHEAP LASER PRINTERS. Specifically the CM1015 and 1017. HP laser printers are expiring the toner cartridges regardless of the actual toner used. I printed 8000 pages of pure Black and White with all color turned off in the driver. I had to replace $240 in color toner cartridges to use the printer even thought we printed NO color. Went to Cartridge world to have them opened, and sure enough they were completely full.

Great Printer...Easy Set-up!

K. McMahan "SODoc", Amazon
24 January 2008
  • Summary: We purchased this printer to replace our Lexmark Laser and Canon Injet. The Lexmark toner lasts around 2000 pages and fades almost immediately with costs of $79 if you agree to send the old one back to Lexmark. From the second we set this printer up we have been pleased with it. It is much lighter than similar printers and the footprint is much smaller than the 2800 series printers.

Awesome printer!

Jorge Alberto Reza, Amazon
24 January 2008
  • Summary: I bought this like 7 or 8 months ago and I could not be happier about it! its an awesome little color laser MFC: even though HP stopped producing them, I see you can still get them on the internet for a very reasonable price! interface for pc and mac is easy to use. the printer itself is very easy to maintain..... and the network port is definitely one of the most welcomed feature on this I really dont have any complain about it!

Very nice printer

E.C., Amazon
24 January 2008
  • Summary: First off - Amazon's description of this printer is wrong - it does not fax. I wish it did; but it doesn't. See HP site for more accurate description. Ok, the main reason I bought this printer was because i was getting frustrated with my inkjets. For the last 9 years, it was always a roll of the dice if what i printed would come out ok or not.
