Summary: I've owned this printer since 2007. It would be unfair to say it is the worst printer ever made. It would be quite accurate to say it is the worst all in one machine ever made. To add insult to injury, HP doesn't support drives for printing or scanning for Windows beginning at Windows 7 .
Poor quality printer that never seems to work right
18 September 2013
Summary: I purchased this HP 2840 for use as a small network printer, it has been the worst printer we have had to date. After nearly 4 years we have only printed 9,000 pages on it, and it has been in for servicing at least 2-3 times per year (major servicing).
Summary: This item was listed in "good" condition. When I received the box, it was poorly packaged. Then, I opened it today, blue toner was everywhere when I opened the box, broken off pieces, and it doesn't even turn on. This item should have never have been shipped out.
Summary: Support was good when I first bought it. Then in large part support was discontinued...and then so were the necessary drivers. One year after I paid $1000 for it, it was obsolete. No more HP for me--ever!
Summary: When I first set this printer up, the instructions were horrible so I called the HP support. The jerk on the other end of the call was just plain rude to me. The printer also makes alot of noise it automatically reconfigures at different times. The ink is expensive. Next printer is a Brother
Summary: We have owned this printer for over 5 years with minor problems, until we upgraded to Windows 7,and now HP has not upgraded these drivers for this printer to Windows 7 and the suggested Vista compatibility mode workaround driver does not work well at all.
Summary: i hate this printer. my assistant recommended it for purchase a few years ago and now i am stuck with it. she must have wanted to order the most expensive one because it was a good chunk of change. i've had it for about 5 years now and it is VERY SLOW!
