Summary: I've owned this printer since 2007. It would be unfair to say it is the worst printer ever made. It would be quite accurate to say it is the worst all in one machine ever made. To add insult to injury, HP doesn't support drives for printing or scanning for Windows beginning at Windows 7 .
Nice quality prints. Printer needed adjustment before it would function.

Summary: I didn't have the same installation problems others seemed to have, but the printer kept rejecting cartridges and it took a while to figure out why. It turns out there was a gear misalignment that was throwing errors.
Nice machine --- horrible software (espcailly if you are using anything newer than WindowsXP)

Summary: I love the printer but you will spend months trying to get the drivers to make it work the way it really should. Here is one big helpful idea: I just went through this fix yesterday. I can't remember where I found it on hp.com, though. Here it is: 1. Turn printer on. 2.
Poor quality printer that never seems to work right

Summary: I purchased this HP 2840 for use as a small network printer, it has been the worst printer we have had to date. After nearly 4 years we have only printed 9,000 pages on it, and it has been in for servicing at least 2-3 times per year (major servicing).
Summary: This item was listed in "good" condition. When I received the box, it was poorly packaged. Then, I opened it today, blue toner was everywhere when I opened the box, broken off pieces, and it doesn't even turn on. This item should have never have been shipped out.
Summary: Support was good when I first bought it. Then in large part support was discontinued...and then so were the necessary drivers. One year after I paid $1000 for it, it was obsolete. No more HP for me--ever!
