Stay away from this printer, its not worth the headache!

Summary: I purchased this HP 2840 for use as a small network printer, it has been the worst printer we have had to date. After nearly 4 years we have only printed 9,000 pages on it, and it has been in for servicing at least 2-3 times per year (major servicing). This printer also makes horrible noises, and calibrates itself every hour, even after newest firmware update.
HP makes the best printers. This is a good printer and a great value too.

Summary: I've seen some HP printers with over 2 and a half million pages on them that still work well, with proper maintenance and repairs as needed of course. They are real work horses. This model's duty cycle is 35,000 sheets so it's built to be used for a small or medium sized office. It was a good base model when it was made and it works well with windows 7 too.
Summary: You guys were great. You refunded my money and handled everything very professionally. I really appreciate that. The Laserjet 2840 didn't work with all of the various operating systems so we had to return the printer. Our system turned out to be too complicated for the printer. Aslo, the printer was not compatible at all with our newer computers. It couldn't handle 64bit Windows 7. However, the vendor was terrific.
"This is a big, heavy, loud, clunky, piece of junk."

Pros: Makes a great boat anchor.
Cons: I've got only 250 characters to tell you that it rarely worked, took up half the space on or under a credenza, the toner was ridiculously expense and it was a maintenance nightmare. And, UGLY? Don't get me started!
Summary: We bought this all in one to replace another one that is identical but it had a card reader issue then started giving messages about scanner problems so for the price I decided to pick this one up and use the other for parts if need be. I am very impressed with the quality of the print. If you don't mind all the sounds it makes to print then it's a good printer.
