Needs one more feature!

Greeting Card Maker, Staples

  • Excerpt: Having difficulty finding any printer that will print on heavier paper (120#.) My very old Epson 3810 was a workhorse that printed on heavy paper. It finally just wore out, and I cannot find a suitable replacement. I also have an Epson 400 that will not even pull through photo paper. We use it merely for 24# all purpose letter size (8 1/2x11) paper, because the rollers will not pick up anything smaller.

USB Cable Not Included

eclair67, Staples
  • Excerpt: I've just started using the printer; the print quality is good, the scanner works just fine, and the speed is what could be expected for such an inexpensive printer. It gets three stars because it took several tries before I could get my computer to recognize the printer; it didn't pick up the wireless installation properly, and finally I had to make a second trip to Staples and spend extra money just to buy a USB printer cable, which inexplicably was not included in the...

OK printer

Lady Di, Epson
  • Summary: Have had printer for almost a month and it has performed OK. It did jam once and it seems to want to because it often curls a corner on the paper but it is doing it's job. It is loud and a little scary sounding when it prints, sounds like it is going to break down. Ok little printer for the price. Be aware that if you do not wish to use the color ink too often, you must set it to black and white each and every time you print, it does not save the setting.

Great Print Quality BUT...

ro, Staples
  • Excerpt: This printer has great quality, probably because it is also a photo printer which I forgot. It is quite slow (again maybe due to print quality) and seems a bit fragile. I can only hope it does not use too much ink for this quality and I will try to turn on draft quality if it has that option. I should have been more careful with my purchase (maybe the 610 would have been worth it).

Great Printer But Phones Home

Kettrick, Staples
  • Excerpt: I bought this printer to replace an 8 year old Canon that finally said enough. Wanted something cheap. If this printer didn't phone home I'd give it 5 stars. When installing the software there is no way to choose what drivers you want to install. In order to keep it from phoning home I'm using the USB port (My wireless router is set to only allow specific MAC addresses so that's covered).
