Summary: Not only is the ink very expensive, if you do run out of one color you can not print or scan! Good luck trying generic ink, my experience was a nightmare trying to use a "compatible" other than the genuine Epson brand. Otherwise, it's a great scanner and prints very nicely.
Summary: This printer is nice and well-built, but it does use a TON of ink.... and everything prints VERY dark (unless in Draft mode, then it is so light that it's barely visible). HOWEVER, there is a fix that will help you print TRUE TO COLOR, PRINT FASTER and SAVE INK! <Go into Control Panel/Devices and Printers <Right Click on XP-410 Series Printer and click on "Printing Preferences" <Click on the "Advanced" Tab <Select the print mode you use most often (for me it is Text and...
Summary: In short, I'm happy with the printer. The quality of printing is good and the printer itself is much quieter compared to other printers I have owned. 2-sided printing, smaller foot print (more compact), and several methods to print including SD card, Wi-Fi, and even with your smart phone. One of my only issues with the printer is that I constantly have to log back into the Wi-Fi network to print.
Summary: Printer is fine as far as quality. However, manufacturers make a far higher profit on replacement ink than they ever will on the printer profit margin. I initially bought black replacement cartridges from a reputable ink dealer, one I've been using for years with my HP printers. However, this Epson (my first) would not recognize the cartridges and would not print. I later found compatible ink via 4inkjets (not through Amazon).
Summary: I was originally impressed with this product because it was so easy to set up and use. Picked up wi-fi immediately. The more you use it ...you learn how much ink it consumes. Although those cartridges are available on Amazon at a very good price. Unfortunately, as we now own this printer one year ....it's starting to print and stall intermittently. It has to be rebooted too often and it showing signs of a short life expectancy.
Summary: Not sure why but it can't find my wifi. I will need to trouble shoot it and or hook it up with a cable and then try to get wifi to work. Pleased that a memory card can be put right in it for printing photos.
Summary: I find that this product is not user friendly - if I did not have some one with technical experience to set it up for me I would not have been able to make to work. Still can't figure out the scanning part of it.
