Summary: While the operation of my XP-400 has been pretty admirable over the past two years, the major fault I have found with the design is that there is no way to bypass the color printing to print only in black and white. By this I mean, if one of my color inks is low or expended, I cannot bypass it and print in grayscale, as another printer I have (not an Epson) will do.
Summary: I don't like that it throws the paper up before pulling it down to print... it does NOT always print straight - I hate that. The other bad thing is it takes way too long to scan an item. Other than that it seems ok.
Summary: Excited to get this running with my new Mac Air. I ran into trouble after the disk was installed. It kept asking for a password. I Put in every known password that I have still no luck. It was really frustrating. Finally I just gave up to return printer. How it finally worked was with the wi fi signal. I still don't know how this unexpected miracle happened but it did. It works fine Wi Fi. Now I go to my PC AND TRY THAT. Install disk bingo no problem.
Summary: The print quality of the printer is good, however I purchased this printer so my wife could easily print from her iPad II, but it seems that everytime she wants to print I have to "Adjust" the Wi-Fi so that the iPad can see it. Once it reconnects she is good for a while but if the printer goes to sleep all is lost.
Summary: Nice printer. One problem is it's a pain to get drivers for my new computer win 8.1. My old laptop had win 8 and the printer worked great it's fast and the ink is cheap to buy. I'm sure I'll find the proper drivers. But I've been looking for over two hours.
