Summary: While the printer works fine on standard letter printing it is absolutely dismal in envelope printing! I want to throw it out the window every time I try to print #10 envelopes. It jams continuously and is extremely noisy to boot.
Summary: I have owned nothing but Epson printers for over 15 years. I used to be a professional photographer and at one time owned 6 Epsons at one time for printing photos. I've always loved them. However, I've had real problems with the WF-7520 printer head. There are several nozzles that clog constantly. I've done 25+ head cleanings (wasting a lot of expensive ink in the process), but once they come clean, they clog up again within a few sheets.
Summary: No auto-detect on scan, No auto rotation. Great product in theory. Specs look good on paper. Might want to consider getting a doctorate in scanning resolution, source, sizing, previewing, etc before attempting to use this product. Software provided is horribly written and only moderately useful. A lot of time wasted. Great for a hobbyist.
Summary: I bought this printer because of the large format paper which I use to print job plans. Printer jams EVERY time I print duplex copies or multiple copies of a job. When printing with large format paper, several sheets get fed into the feeder at a time. Printing is streaky and poor quality.
Summary: I bought this product for my home business because I need to scan and copy 11 x 17 and European paper sizes. I was disappointed that it can not scan double sided copies larger than standard 8.5 x 11 sized paper. The unit jams frequently when copying double sided documents or the ADF grabs multiple pages. In addition, it has started streaking when copying double sided documents via the ADF and when I scan with the ADF.
Summary: I MUST SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT BASED UPON MY REVIEW BELOW. Although I still believe that my old HP prints average word docs better on average paper. Here is my latest on this: I went and bought the HP 8600 e plus yesterday based upon my notes below. I set it all up and began to print a few sample items. I must say I was frustrated. The print quality was no better than the Epson - perhaps worse.
Excerpt: I have had a scanning issue since set up - docs are encrypted from scanner. I have emailed tech and have not received any info that has helped. I called tech support & got voice mail & had to leave a message for them to call me, which I have yet not received a call. At this point I am very disappointed with the support!
Summary: This is a great printer, produces great printouts and is very fast. However, it drinks ink like it's been in the desert for 30 days! We use this in our office mainly to print 11x17 proofs. We had to opt for this printer because we have an aged Mac environment running on old MAC OS software and many of the other printers did not support our "aged" computer environment. The printer met our OS requirements, but we found out that it is not a cost effective printer.
Summary: This printer is great. Just one thing though. If you use Microsoft Office 2013, the ABBYY add-ins can actually crash your computer!!! They conflict with Office programs, and cause instability. These add-ins are optional, so make sure that you don't install them and you will be fine. Like I said before, this printer really is a good, quality printer. Just beware of the add-ins, and I'm sure that this goes for other Epson products as well.
