Issues tech has not addressed

None, Staples
28 January 2014
  • Excerpt: I have had a scanning issue since set up - docs are encrypted from scanner. I have emailed tech and have not received any info that has helped. I called tech support & got voice mail & had to leave a message for them to call me, which I have yet not received a call. At this point I am very disappointed with the support!

Bad Photo Quality; Chews Through Ink

Danny MacDonald, Amazon
18 January 2014
  • Summary: I recommend staying away from this printer. It burns through ink, photo and text quality is atrocious, and a bad tray design forces you to babysit it to make sure it doesn't accidentally jam by pulling multiple pages. I bought this printer for printing out copies of a local newsletter. I had read the reviews and thought it would be a good candidate. It was not. First off, this thing goes through ink if there is any sort of color at all on a page.

INK HUNGRY PRINTER!!

keystylz, Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: This is a great printer, produces great printouts and is very fast. However, it drinks ink like it's been in the desert for 30 days! We use this in our office mainly to print 11x17 proofs. We had to opt for this printer because we have an aged Mac environment running on old MAC OS software and many of the other printers did not support our "aged" computer environment. The printer met our OS requirements, but we found out that it is not a cost effective printer.

BEWARE!!!!!!

Brandon, Epson
8 November 2013
  • Summary: This printer is great. Just one thing though. If you use Microsoft Office 2013, the ABBYY add-ins can actually crash your computer!!! They conflict with Office programs, and cause instability. These add-ins are optional, so make sure that you don't install them and you will be fine. Like I said before, this printer really is a good, quality printer. Just beware of the add-ins, and I'm sure that this goes for other Epson products as well.

Don't. Just don't.

John P. Seipp, Amazon
25 October 2013
  • Summary: Caveat emptor. While the WF-7520 has much to commend itself, it has two major flaws...one merely irritating, one unforgivable. The irritating flaw: no pass-through ability. So forget printing on card stock or heavy label stock, and expect lots and lots of jams on envelopes. The unforgivable flaw: the printer regularly and repeatedly develops hideous streaking, which typically requires 3 back-to-back head cleaning cycles to clear up.

WiFi issues

tpuglisi, Epson
26 September 2013
  • Summary: WiFi keeps cutting out. This time it seems to have stoped working for good. Despite trying everything I can find in Epson's help, troubleshooting, my other computer, router + hardware help + troubleshooting, despite trying to reinstall the drivers, despite checking the internet for answers, it just won't work.

Grade D+ and no better

E. Wilson, Amazon
12 September 2013
  • Summary: I bought the Epson Workforce WF-7520 for my 1-person office because I needed something that would print and scan up to 11"X17". I read reviews stating for a small office, this is the best ink-jet out there, won't break the bank, perfect for a small office, and has high print quality. To be honest, after a month of use, this is probably the worst ink-jet I have used. It prints poorly and more slowly than identified in the specs.

Epson WF-7520 All-in-One

RetiredGuy, Epson
8 September 2013
  • Summary: At this writing I have been using the 7520 about 10 months. I really like the machine as a scanner, and for printing text, especially 2-sided printing. I find it unusable, however, for printing color pictures on a page. When I try, it prints a light line, mostly yellow in color and about one printed line in height, all the way across the page. This happens about every 2" in areas of the page that include a color picture. I have tried changing the ink cartridges.
