Summary: I give it two stars because it works great if you don't need to connect to it (scan to print is great!). Don't bother trying to connect it to a Mac. The utilities are primative at best. Wireless scan on PC is not consistent. Getting consistent print is tough. (Get stripes through images in many cases) I am so troubled by my experience because past Epson experiences simply haven't been this bad.
Summary: Epson 635: I changed over from Cannon to Epson based on the problems with Cannon's ink cartriges not always being acknowledged by the printer. Mistake on my part. The amount of money needed to feed this thing (Epson) with ink is ridiculous. On draft mode, print is a bit better than a faded dot matrix. On regular mode, print is much better BUT it gobbles up the ink. Ink goes bye bye, as does my money, much faster than the Cannon I use to have.
Summary: Likes: 1. Regular cord - no giant floor wart getting tangled with other cords. 2. Comes with FULL ink cartridges, not those scammy half-full OEM's many other brands still use. 3. Small footprint - it's about the size you expect a printer to be, not a massive contraption that needs its own desk. 4. Intuitive setup with step-by-step instructions. I'm pretty sure a non-techie could install this printer if they followed the steps. 5.
