The 610 was great but Epson service was a joke, I now have an HP

Excerpt: I really liked the 610 for many different reasons, such as scanning documents into my email, the print quality was good until a white line started to develope in some of the text. I followed the instructions in the troubleshooting guide. I did a print head cleaning, purchased all new ink cartridges etc. The clincher for me was not the product but the customer service I received from Epson.
Summary: This printer was a perfect fit for my limited workspace. However, I am disappointed with this printer. I was never able to get the scanner to work and the cyan printer head clogged after about 18 months. This printer is not serviceable. You can't remove the print heads w/o some serious damage to the case. Customer support to get the scan feature to work was not very good. I would not recommend this printer.
Pros: I actually love the printer and print quality of the Epson Workforce 610, and it prints marvelously from my XP system.
Cons: With Vista, the wait for a print with a direct USB connection is often between 1 and 2 minutes. Epson support says "not our problem" which is NOT a suitable answer. With the much touted wireless connection, the wait can be up to FIVE (5) minutes.
Cons: Prints 10 pages of 4 3/4 x 7 inches of solid graphic area (photograph quality) then wants you to replace ink cartridges. 40 dollars per set for color. That comes out to 4 dollars per page according to my calculations.
