Absolute POS printer- Save yourself from frustration & DO NOT BUY
4 November 2012
Summary: this is the worst printer I've dealt with, for the following reasons: -it consumes a lot of ink in relation to how much it prints. All of the cartridges were replaced, and I've printed maybe 20 pages max over the last month, and all of the cartridges are low or depleted. -If a single cartridge color is depleted, you can't print at all.
Excerpt: My old printer was worn out so my husband surprised me with a new printer the Epson Workforse 610. I do a lot of pictures, newsletters, etc. The quality of print is terrible and not acceptable to use on a business level. Pictures are funny colors and not true to life. The machine jams constantly. It has been worked on twice in the last 6 months.
Summary: I have owned this printer for a couple years now and in addition to being very fussy about on the paper infeed side it has now stopped accepting wireless print jobs from my computer and I cannot find anyone who has any clue why this has happened. Espon support is nearly non-existent. You might want to find another brand or model.
Summary: Hello! It might be useful to tell potential customers that this printer DOES NOT PRINT on 3-hole punch paper - it jams when you try to. It even says it in the User Guide under "Paper Feeding Problems," page 47 bullet point "Do not load paper with holes punched in it." I didn't check this before I bought it since I've never heard of a printer that doesn't print on 3-hole punch!
Summary: In the first five months, it works, which keeps me happy about it.Then there might be a design fault in this series. It always gives a paper jam message while there is no paper inside the machine at all. and then the machine cannot work for not only printing but scanning as well.
Summary: I bought this Workforce 610 printer (Now discontinued by Epson) some 2 years ago. I used it as a backup printer, and it has hardly been used. After only "2 black cartridges used", it dies on me. Epson Tech Support advised me to save money and buy a new printer instead of repairing this one. I have seen this printer sold nowadays for x2.5 its original price. Based on my experience, see the title of my review!
Summary: Wireless never worked right, would disappear and needed constant resets. We ran it wired via USB which was okay. The auto feed was actually pretty reliable in this time period, but yesterday it gave a "printer has an error" message and all efforts to revive it have failed. This was free with my MacBook - you get what you pay for I reckon.
Summary: Had this printer for almost 2 years. Usde it VERY lightly, maybe 2 or 3 times a month. Turned it on one day and it displayed an error message to contact Epson. All they would do for me is give me an address to a repair shop and I would have to pay for it to be fixed. Very frusterating!!
Summary: After the initial cartridge had been depleted, I bought non OEM ink on Amazon. I'm not sure if the problem had occurred before, but now, the print jobs are tilted approximately 5 degrees to the right down. And there are fade lines, which are very annoying when trying to print bulky items. Bought it for around $50, do not buy for over this price or you will be disappointed.
