Summary: Anytime I want to spend a couple of hours feeling frustrated and unproductive, I can always try to use my Workforce 520. I am an average kind of user. I expect that using a printer ought to be kind of like driving a car: after a bit of training I expect to put the key in, start it up and drive. This has been true for most of the printers I have owned. Not so for the Workforce 520.
DOES NOT WORK WITH APPLE, and maybe not with anything else either

Summary: This is the worst printer. I have to turn it on and off between every single print job for it to work. Plus, the scanning is just awful. It creates HUGE documents (like 10MB), when other scanners turn the same product into 150 KB. I've messed with the settings as much as I can, and it just will not produce reasonable sized documents. Plus, if you run out of ANY ink cartridge, the printer will not work. If you run out of yellow ink, it will not print black.
Summary: This printer "runs out" of ink way too often to be work it. I've had this printer for 3 years and I've replaced the ink countless times. We weren't even using it for almost a year because I refused to keep spending money on ink. Don't even consider buying it.
Summary: This printer suckity sucks sucks sucks. Believe what people say about the ink, it does eat a ton. That's not even my issue with it though.... My printer, after light use over the course of a year, will not print. I have replaced all the ink cartridges, I have run all the tests, I have tried to clean this that and the other thing and it will still not print, UNLESS, I reduce the image to 75% or less and set it on the highest photo setting I can.
Summary: I have had this printer for about a year. This thing goes through ink like nothing I have ever had in the past and I have owned HP, EPSON, BROTHER AND ETC. If one ink level is low, it will not let you print. I have tried over and over again to print in black but it tells me I cannot do this because cyan is low? On a document that is black and white? With my settings enabled to only print in black?
"Pros' reviews misled me to buy this ugly product."

Pros: Fairly good print for $$ spent but requires ONLY original cartridges to keep up with quality. Good speed of print but requires longer time to warm up
Cons: Without using curse words? Uh, I'll try my best - this devised use LOTS of my nerves! ADF cant grab single page - 80% of time jams paper. Uses ink quickly. Takes forever to start scanning/printing the 1st page.
Summary: There have been several lawsuits brought against Epson in the U.S. because their ink cartridge chips indicate the cartridge must be replaced even though there is 20-25% more ink left in the cartridge. Additionally, the cartridges manufactured by Epson have been independently tested by several consumer groups and found to contain very low levels of ink to start with (5ml-7ml on the low end).
Summary: Do not buy this printer. Slowest I have ever used. Won't let you select any options or make changes. Quality is crappy. Makes you wait forever after changing inks, or cancelling a job, or anything.
Summary: I bought this printer about two years ago from Best Buy, and I have been having problems with it since. It was an expensive item to buy, but I needed it for my home business so I invested money and needless to say, this was the worst investment I have ever made. This printer is bulky, you need to clean the head about 3-4 times a month, it will not work with ink that is not originally manufactured by Epson (meaning if you like to buy discounted ink from online providers...
