Cannot print only in black without colour cartridges

Jonathan Dodds, Amazon
1 December 2011
  • Summary: The big problem with this printer, and I'm assuming all Epson printer models is that you cannot print only in black if any of the the colour cartridges are empty. The printer demands that the colour cartridges are replaced before it will print, even if all you want to do is print a standard...

Great printer but unusable after 18 months

MattB, Amazon
31 July 2010
  • Summary: The Epson SX600FW is a well styled and well equipped all-in-one printer. It was easy to set up and produces great edge to edge colour prints. Connected to my wireless router, I had two laptops and one desktop printing on demand. The software makes printing and scanning easy too.

Problem with XP

K. G. Collett, Amazon
28 February 2010
  • Summary: I use this printer as a household resource. We have 4 PCs, 3 use XP and one uses Vista. Ian H, Amazon
2 October 2009
  • Summary: Lasted 6 months before the print head jammed. Will be returning to PC Wporld tomorrow. The rinter functions are fantastic but useless if the print head gets blocked as there is no way of physicaly cleaning it.

great printer but the ink cost prohibitive - print heads are now clogged

Mikep, Amazon
6 June 2009
  • Summary: The wifi is a real pain to set up - but when it gets going it is fine. The printer itself is not brilliant quality but not bad. The scan feeder is great and print speed OK unless you are doing pictures. My gripe like most Epson owners is the cost and short life of the cartridges.

So much promise, but let down by installation

Andrew Mckenzie, Amazon
18 May 2009
  • Summary: The promise of a wireless all in one device was to good to pass on so I decided to go for it to support my start-up business. However, as with most wireless devices, this printer wasted so much time during installation.
