Pros: Scan Quality, Print Quality, Functionality
Cons: Slow printing compared to other devices on the market
Summary: Quick to set up and easy - you have to plug the USB cable in to set up wireless printing but once done prints and scans wirelessly - bit of a delay before it starts printing but no big deal. If you are doing a lot of scanning, this is not the quickest I've used but as I only use that function occasionally, no a problem for me. Inks are reasonable, which is the main reason I bought it.
Summary: Bought this as a replacement for a very good friend my Epson C64.Wi-Fi set up was easy with my XP laptop and also with one running Linux Mint 11.Although it's a bit noisy when starting a print job the results are very good and fast. The print cartridges are all separate so you can replace just the one that's low.Have stuck with Epson for years now and they never disappoint. The copy and scan features are an added bonus.Well recommended budget priced unit.
Excerpt: "...cables) and the iOS app Epson iPrint is very useful when scanning, printing photos etc. photo prints are of great quality and also print very fast compared to other printers. The overall design of the printer is very modern and sleek and seems to fit every where Becuase it is black. The touchscreen is responsive and better than touchscreens on other printers and devices. The only bad point about this printer is when charging ink for the first time ...
Summary: Bought this in December 2011 as a christmas present for the wife. She has been using it intermittentantly for the last 6-months, mainly for printing photos, and she is happy with the results. Spent a while researching before purchasing. The spec seemed best for us for the budget, so we took a chance as the reviews we had read were mixed - but happy we did as we have been happy so far. Note that Epsom ink cartridges are expensive.
Summary: The supplied software disc just sat in my disc drive and did nothing so I had to download drivers etc from the internet. I eventually got everything working including the wifi and am now very pleased with it. I bought it to print from my iPad which it does with no problems. It photocopies, scans to a memory card, copies photographs etc effortlessly with very acceptable quality. After initial doubts I am now satisfied.
Summary: Simple to use and a nice compact size. Problem with the inks included in the box not lasting very well and on occasion not printing out, but that might have been a web/internet problem. The fact that it says copy rather than print when you want to print is a bit off-putting. However all in all its fine for the odd piece of correspondence etc that you may need. If you want better then buy a more expensive printer.
Summary: Ok, I was expecting this little unit to be a cut down version of my Epson PX730. I can't make my mind up if it is or not? The paper does not load from the front and it does not have the same solid feel somehow. I was expecting all of these things for some reason, which is probably unrealistic considering how much it cost. It takes up very little room and is much lighter than I expected. For the money it is hard to imagine that the print quality could be any better.
Summary: This is a good quality printer, very stylish and quiet solid (i.e. plastic compartment/trays not flimsy like the other types in the same price range). Good value for money and ink price is reasonable, but you have to shop around and also make sure you get the T1295 L ink pack (i.e. large), it is better value for money.
