Summary: I bought an Epson Sylus SX445W and regret doing so. At first it worked without any That didn't last very long at all. The black ink cartridge which came with printer ran out soon after I purchased the printer. It did so even though I hadn't printed very many documents. Replacement cartridges are incredibly expensive. Large supermarkets sell their own versions for much cheaper. I bought one of these and got another free. The print quality was excellent.
Summary: Happy with all its functions. think its best all rounder in this category. Its inkjet, so always going to cost a bit on ink, but copies can be used with it as are WIDELY sold on amazon. Also great that the colour cartridges are seperate units - a must for the thrifty printer.
Broke just outside of 1 year warranty - don't use with cheaper ink!

Summary: I bought this printer last year, July 2012. I was really pleased with it, at the time it cost around 50 pounds - and it seemed excellent value. AirPrint worked very smoothly with my IPAD and IPhone. This printer has been used lightly over the last year, with only occasional printing of a few pages here and there. I've used both Epson Ink and cheaper ink.
Great printer for home and occasional business use

Excerpt: The Epson Stylus SX445W is an inexpensive all in one printer and is ideal for a user who needs to print and occasionally do a bit of scanning. The product is fully wireless and connects to you homes Wi-Fi network however if you want you can also connect it to your computer by using the USB cable supplied in the box. On the front of the product is a color LCD screen which is used to navigate around the printer's vast array of features.

Pros: Scan Quality, Print Quality, Functionality
Cons: Slow printing compared to other devices on the market
A compact printer great for anyone who just wants to print a few documents, not good for high volume

Excerpt: I've had this printer now for just over a year after buying it from Laskys. It came in a fairly protective box with lots of polystyrene to protect the sensitive bits. After getting it out of the box and onto the desk it was a 5 minute job. Because this printer is wireless and only requires 1 cable (for my setup, you can also have it wired via USB) it can be stored neatly and reduces the amount of wires behind your computer for a start.
Summary: Colour printing is good. But... The scanner is very slow. Trying to get it to print on 240g/m2 non-Epson photo paper is nearly impossible - it keeps telling you to reload it. Same with using non-Epson "compatible" ink cartridges - it tells you that they are not recognised. The scanner lid does not lift to allow thick documents or books to be scanned. I intend to buy a Canon Pixma MG5350 and dump this Epson printer.
