Summary: I bought this printer on the recommendation of a salesman and have regretted it. It has always been noisy, but the main problems are poor directions and non existent manual do not allow you to rectify the persistant errors that occur with the printer.
Summary: This printer was fine initially. I purchased it just over a year ago. I am not a heavy user of this product, and it has broken. I bought the printer despite negative reviews about the paper feed being incredibly sensitive. I assumed it was down to the incompetence of the users.
Definitely not going back to Epson in a hurry with their faulty printers and expensive cartridges.

Excerpt: BACKGROUND INFORMATION When I bought this printer I was a student and needed to print out my lecture notes daily, which included text and a few diagrams. I don't think I ever actually printed a picture with this printer in the short time that it was up and running.
Summary: I never found any problems with the printer itself. It always did the job fairly well although i only used it for the scanner and normal printing. However where i did find problems was when it came to replacing the ink.
Excerpt: If you had asked me to review the Epson Stylus SX200 when I first got it, I may well have agreed with some of the other reviewers who rant about what good value for money it is. However, after owning one for about a year, my opinion has changed somewhat.
Summary: This Epson replaces a Brother DPC 115C which died when the ink dried inside the printer heads. The Epson looks nice and is easy to connect with the PC. The disadvantages are as follows: the scanning surface is not horizontal so single pages slide before you close the cover.
Summary: Having been a user of Epson printers and multifunction devices for many years I had noticed that they have been becoming less reliable and lasting less and less time before completely failing.
Summary: At the beginning of February,I bought the Epson SX200 primarily to scan as my old scanner had died. However despite being brand spanking new, it is very slow & noisy. I feel that every scan now may be its last due to the noise, it takes almost 3 minutes to scan a small 4" x 6" photo and an A4...
Summary: Unfortunately, the printer was faulty and did not print colour copies correctly. We did send it back. Whilst we had it for the week trying to fathom out what exactly was wrong with it, we found it bulky, noisy and heavy on ink. The replacement cartridges are expensive.
Summary: I bought the SX200 from Tesco a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say the supplier Epson ink cartridges lasted only a few tens of page (no photos). This is not unusual, as most people know, that only a small amount of ink is put in the cartridges supplied with new printers.
