Excerpt: the epson sx 130 is an absolute pain. It never workes right, it is hard to install-and-print, it robs you of your money and it makes your life extremely difficult by forcing you to buy ink on sunday evenings (when every ink shop is closed) right before your deadline simply because it demands you...
Summary: Strike that title: this is a dysfunctional printer. It is without question the worst printer I have ever owned. It is absurdly noisy and slow. Its output, particularly black, is rubbish, even with brand-new cartridges.
Summary: I took this to university. I don't print often but in 1 year I went through a ridiculous amount of ink. It does not recognise 'compatible' ink only the genuine ridiculously expensive stuff. If you so much as even touch the printer the paper feed decides to not work.
A perfect example of "You get what you pay for"...

Summary: After the scanner in my trusty, heavily used Canon finally died at a very busy period I needed an all-in-one and quick. I found the SX130 and thought "separate inks, big brand, all in one, cheap - perfect!" There's a reason it's cheap - it's awful.
Summary: this printer will only recognise genuine epson inks, ive tried compatables from several places including amazon but it will only recognise the odd one does anyone know how i can get it to work with compatables ive given it 1 star for the scanner
Summary: The paper feed has to be the most poorly designed on any printer I have owned or used. I have never bought a printer and seriously considered replacing it before the first ink cartridges have run out as I think new cartridges are just throwing good money after bad.
Summary: Not at all impressed with this printer - too slow and quite noisy, and very big and bulky. Was a bit hasty in choosing this printer, wish now I had taken note of the other reviews. In hindsight, I should have paid extra to get something of a much better quality.
Summary: I bought this as a cheap back up to my more expensive printer. The price seemed to good to be true, IT IS!! First of all dont think of using it for anything except text, the photo quality is terrible. The paper feeder only feeds paper when it feels like it (not very often).
