Epson Stylus Office BX320FW: Good quality printer
11 January 2014
Summary: This printer was handed on to me as mine had broken. In general the printer is a good quality unit, and reasonably economical on ink use. To replace ink cartridges with branded refills would have cost around £80, so shop around. Having said that, the cartridges seemed to last forever. It is however quite a large printer, it won't hide a way on the corner of your desk! I is quite noisy whilst printing too if that causes a problem to you.
Summary: I done a lot of research for a printer because it was no good buying a cheap one and then spending a fortune on ink cartridges. This printer's cartridges last a very long time and refills ( I use unbranded) are cheap). excellent printer very good value for money does everything I need.
Summary: I've owned a lot of printers in my time, for a shade over £60 which I managed to find this for the print quality on it is pretty good, the photocopying function works, haven't tried the fax functions as email is the norm these days and the wireless connectivity works a treat (when the printer actually can be found on the network, often after a power down and up). Not a bad little package but the cartridges are small so be warned!!
Summary: Product worked well to begin with, using epson cartridges. Now i have the typical Epson problem that the printer is not recognising the ink cartridges, which renders the printer unusable. did try all the obvious repair solutions such as cleaning of contacts, turning printer off etc. on reviewing purchase details i note this company only gives a returns policy for 30 days after date of purchase! hence no recourse, and have to buy new printer.
Summary: Had to purchase a new printer, but also needed a copy/scanner and not wanting to spend a fortune either. Plumbed for the Epson BX320 FW because it does all I want (plus a fax I did`nt need) and it is wireless so no problem re siteing in my cramped "office space". Also cartridge price has long been an issue with me, so I needed a printer with individual colours, which the Epson has, and comes with a full set to start. All at a great price too.
Summary: After owning this printer for just over a year, it all started to go very wrong very fast. 100% full, original Epson Cartridges would fail, constantly needing head cleaning or just refusing to work point blank. I don't think I am asking much to get at least a few years of good work out of a printer before I get a problem..
Summary: I have replaced a 7 year old Epson with the BX 320 FW, It was a very easy printer to set up, I am ok with using the printer as a USB connected printer and it was easy to install the software and get it up and running in about half an hour. Epson quality is renowned and I am glad to be able to use it as my choice of printer. This new printer is much faster than the old one and a black and white text page literally shoots out of the the thing!
Summary: This is a disappointing product. For me, the idea of a WiFi printer is that you leave it on and it just works whenever you need to print something out from any machine anywhere in the house. Well, this printer works when it feels like it, usually (OK almost always) after you have turned it off and then back on again. This is especially true of the Scan facility.
