Epson Stylus Office BX320FW - a pretty good printer

afcbtim, Ciao
20 March 2014
  • Excerpt: "...legible. Ink ---- The ink is produced by Epson (although non branded options are available). As a clever sales ploy, the cartridges are individual, and the printer will not operate with an empty cartridge in place so you have to buy replacements even when one is empty. In another sales ploy, the printer requires 2 black cartridges to operate. It is far cheaper to buy a multipack of cartridges, but guess what? There is only 1 black cartridge, so you ...
  • Pros: Reliable, fast print, high quality
  • Cons: you have to buy more ink than you need

  • Excerpt: Background The BX320FW is a printer / scanner / fax / copier manufactured by Epson. This printer was handed on to me around 18 months ago as mine had broken. I believe the price on Ebay is around £30 - 40 - prices picked up on Amazon are far higher and I question whether they are right! Look and feel ------------------- In general the printer is a good quality unit, giving the impression of a solid build.

very good printer

  • Summary: I done a lot of research for a printer because it was no good buying a cheap one and then spending a fortune on ink cartridges. This printer's cartridges last a very long time and refills ( I use unbranded) are cheap). excellent printer very good value for money does everything I need.

Epson warranty support.

C., Amazon

  • Summary: I've owned a lot of printers in my time, for a shade over £60 which I managed to find this for the print quality on it is pretty good, the photocopying function works, haven't tried the fax functions as email is the norm these days and the wireless connectivity works a treat (when the printer actually can be found on the network, often after a power down and up). Not a bad little package but the cartridges are small so be warned!!

Ink problem

  • Summary: Yes, this printer is an ink guzzler! If I had a choice I would not buy it after all. I have had Epson printers before and never noticed an issue like this.

only 30 day guarantee

  • Summary: Product worked well to begin with, using epson cartridges. Now i have the typical Epson problem that the printer is not recognising the ink cartridges, which renders the printer unusable. did try all the obvious repair solutions such as cleaning of contacts, turning printer off etc. on reviewing purchase details i note this company only gives a returns policy for 30 days after date of purchase! hence no recourse, and have to buy new printer.

great all rounder

  • Summary: Had to purchase a new printer, but also needed a copy/scanner and not wanting to spend a fortune either. Plumbed for the Epson BX320 FW because it does all I want (plus a fax I did`nt need) and it is wireless so no problem re siteing in my cramped "office space". Also cartridge price has long been an issue with me, so I needed a printer with individual colours, which the Epson has, and comes with a full set to start. All at a great price too.

Waste of money & time.. Never buy Epson again

LeFunketeer, Amazon
30 September 2012
  • Summary: After owning this printer for just over a year, it all started to go very wrong very fast. 100% full, original Epson Cartridges would fail, constantly needing head cleaning or just refusing to work point blank. I don't think I am asking much to get at least a few years of good work out of a printer before I get a problem..
