Excerpt: I was needed a high performing printer for my new office. One of my friends suggested me to go for Epson Stylus and after seeing the machine on the shop and talking with the salesman about various features, I decided to buy it instantly.
Summary: Very difficult to get a new cartridge to print. Requires many head cleanings and wastes ink. Will not operate without cartridges and will not continue to print black if one of the color cartridges is empty.
Summary: cheap to buy, but ink costs will add up, even over the short life of the printer
Pros: fast set up, scanning function is excellent, photos are pretty good--when it works
Cons: doesn't allow printing with black ink if any color ink cartridge is low, doesn't allow mixing colors to print black if the black cartridge is out--only if the black cartridge is "low", lifespan seems to be about one year
Summary: The jets getting clogged is the worst problem. You have to run a head cleaning utility often, or the print quality quickly gets worse and worse. Of course this uses ink, which makes the tiny cartridge problem even worse. At this point the cyan nozzle on my printer is completely clogged and is not responding to the cleaning utility anymore, so the printer is done. Other than the speed of printing, there is nothing about this printer that is not mediocre at best.
Pros: prints very fast
Cons: nozzles get clogged constantly, uses ink EXTREMELY fast, noisy, poor print quality especially as nozzles gum up
Summary: Excellent black printing. The color photo printing is not as vivid as the pictures I have printed on my HP 2345. I have played with the paper selection, etc., with less than perfect results. Overall, it is a very versatile unit that fits the home office well.
Summary: For two months, this is a great printer. Once you run low on one of the color inks, though, problems flare up incessantly. Continuously purchasing random color cartridges when all you print are black and white documents is very annoying. The worst part, though, is the widespread issues with paper jams that this model has. There is no way to fix it aside from buying a new printer.
Pros: Style, wireless functionality, works great for about two months.
Cons: All documents use black and color ink. It will not let you print a b/w document when any of the three separate color cartridges are empty. It also has serious problem with paper jams, regardless of whether or not there is any actual jamming.
Summary: Awesome product. Just received it for awesome price and I can't wait to enjoy it. Make sure you buy the Continous Ink System for this to save the ink forever.... They are great price for ink, too.. ^_^ only $25 bucks can last up to a year. Amazing printer with endless possiblity without buying whole lot of ink and save money!!!!!
Summary: I purchased this for my mother because Im real happy with my Epson NX515. Its nice to print with our laptops or desktops from any room in the house. It prints FAST, has great photo quality with the Durabrite ink which resists fading and has individual ink cartridges so your not throwing away ink like the all in one cartridges. My advice is to buy the 68 cartridges, they hold almost twice the ink of the 69 cartridges and they dont cost much more.
