Summary: Just hooked it up today; initial thoughts. "Small?" At least 30% larger than the HP it replaces. Noise -- a little noisier than the old HP. When setting up "language," those with old, fat fingers be very careful!! I slipped and made it FRENCH -- and you have to go up to the web to get instructions to undo that -- but you can only get to the web page AFTER you load the software CD.
poor support, won't print black if color ink is low
30 March 2012
Summary: the negatives first: - Big ink eater. - Awful support. - Won't print anything when color is low I am unable to print a simple form in black ink - just because the red-yellow-blue color inks are low. All I want to do is select "temporarily disable color printing" - which is a neat option for when the color ink is low, and all you need is black. But the manual and directions on the screen, online and on the printer are maddeningly incomplete.
Small, simple, practical, although not impressive.

Summary: They have the chance to take this product and make it the best on the market if they want to make products that own their competitors so consumers don't have to think twice. They already created a great base, but it needs a lot of features and advance intuitive capabilities for users to get creative with it. If there is ever an age for a smartprinter to go with a smartphone, this is their chance.
Pros: 1. Small and great for mobile offices, 2. Simplistic and straight forward, 3. Effective and great quality, 4. minimal cables and software, 5. Compatible with Apple AirPrint, 6. Timely, responsive, and quick.
Cons: 1. Far too few ports for PC, Apple, and Misc connections., 2. Does not comunicate directly to phone or PC, requires a router as a bridge to print wirelessly., 3. Such router may not be substituted for Mobile Hotspots on phones,, No link = No print.
Summary: This is the first wireless printer I've owned. Greatest thing ever! The size of the printer is perfect. Pretty self explanatory set-up, easy to use, functional. However, it does not scan wirelessly (although there are ways around it), and if you shut it off for an extended period of time, and then turn it back on, it spends about 5 minutes "cleaning the cartridge" until it even prints one page!
Summary: The other reviewer is right: everything else works fine, but the printer will not scan wirelessly FROM THE PRINTER menu, it will only scan with a wire. However you can work around this by opening Image Capture or Preview on your computer (mine is Mac Lion), and selecting Import from Scanner. Then it will scan wirelessly! Even their own Epson support website admits this has to be done...
Summary: I recently received an epson stylus nx430 color printer. It was super easy to install and get working, even with hooking it up to my wireless network. (Just as an FYI, it does NOT come with a USB cable, so if you need it to be wired you do need to supply your own cable.) I love having the availability to copy and scan in my school room (we homeschool) without the printer taking up a lot of space in the room.
