Summary: My last printer was also an Epson but it went the way of all flesh. Not the seller's fault, but this model is a bummer ... agonizing noises as paper literally shoots through it and I really do not trust it. I'm glad the price was right!!
Epson NX415 Printer: Good scanner. Don't buy to print
Leonardo C., Newegg

Summary: Straight from EPSON's website: FAQ Q: Can the printer still print if an ink cartridge is expended or not installed? A: No. The printer will not operate if any cartridge is expended or removed. It’s best to always have extra cartridges on hand. What a ripoff!
Pros: My schools use HP and Epson so I figured they where a trusty brand. I picked this up at BM store and was happy with the printing and scanning results..until I ran out of ink
Cons: I've NEVER printed anything in color since I bought this printer. I've ONLY printed sheet music in black and white, draft quality, and greyscale. THAT'S IT! Yet I've had to buy Cyan cuz it ran out first, then the next color cartridge, what gives? This went straight to the pawn shop
Summary: Beware - unless you print a fairly high volume in full color Epson printers are not economical because the ink cartridges will stop working after they have been installed for a predetermined time. We used our Epson All-in-one mostly for black and white printing - with just an occasional color page.
Summary: I have owned Epson Printers for years and this is the first model that I've had a problem with. Epson, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to build into their printers some sort of block on third party ink cartridges in order to force you to buy their overpriced cartridges.
Summary: Another piece of cheap junk by Epson. Why did I buy this thing? It eats ink like a hog, it jams constantly, and then, after a couple of months, it just stops working completely. Just like the last one I bought. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Please don't buy an Epson NX415 printer.
Summary: So far, buying this printer has cost me time and money. I now have an inferior product that sprays ink all over my documents and goes incredibly slow. The software is clunky. I had an ancient HP printer forever and it was good for something like 5 years.
Summary: I have to say I was surprised at how rickety this printer was. It's got a very cheap feel. You put the paper in and think it's going to jam as it hems and haws, grabbing the paper and releasing it, doing all kinds of things before it actually feeds (and many times it does jam).
Summary: I purchased the Epson joyfully to replace a HP model that just stopped printing. I was excited to get back with epson as I had a great experience with them back in the late 90's. BOY WAS THAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I my personal option Epson is NOT the company that I once loved and recommend.
Summary: Please don't waste money on this thing. It takes for ever for it to print and makes a racket getting ready to send the document. The scanner works well, but the paper feeding tray has broken twice and I just bought it less than 6 months ago. Don't bother.
Summary: This printer does not accurately estimate ink levels. I recently (yesterday) replaced the black ink cartridge and at that time all the other levels were fine. I printed maybe four pages and the Cyan was supposedly completely empty.
