Don't waste your time nor $$

MacCrazy81, Amazon
20 July 2014
  • Summary: Got this cheap as part of bundle with a laptop. Should have saved my $$ towards an HP or Canon. Print and scan quality are both mediocre by current standards, and draft mode is SO poor its pretty useless. Base 124 ink cartridges are VERY low capacity and replacements ain't cheap. About the 3rd cartridge replacement I had the dreaded "cartridge not recognized" error that Epsons have become so famous for.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!

Dustin Doty, Amazon
30 October 2013
  • Summary: This printer (Stylus NX130) lasted me just over a year (14 months). I print very seldomly and found in inexcusable for a printer to not last longer than it did. The printer has average color quality when it is working. Takes several minutes for it to print. I called Epson support and they stated that they do not have an expected life of a product. There solution to my printer dying just outside of warranty was to buy a new printer.

Worst Printer Ever

  • Summary: I could not have been more frustrated. It is difficult to use and when we had to replace the ink cartridges it stopped working. The ink cartridges were not recognized. I will never buy an Epson again.

1 Year Has Not Broken & That's The ONLY Good Thing

frequent Amazon consumer, Amazon
29 April 2013
  • Summary: I have had this unit for a year, got it for $50 and it has not broken yet so that is good. However, the ink is a rip off. $12 and about 12 pages for that price. Ditto the complaint that once you are out of any ink, it won't let you print anything B & W. Really annoying. Overall, headaches are not worth the cheapness on this one.

Money eating printer

DIB, Amazon
15 January 2013
  • Summary: I have an Epson NX430 which is great. The Epson NX130 is far from great - it a total money eater. It won't print properly and then I have to clean the printer heads which uses up a lot of ink. I'm having to do this all the time, sometimes several times in one go to get it working. I've spent loads on ink and have decided that if I want to save money in the long run it's best if I replace this printer. What a waste of money. I won't be buying Epson again.

Solid and cheap

Mac, Amazon
5 October 2012
  • Summary: I feel that to get the most out of this printer you must modify the install settings, turn on fast printing and adjust the quality to what you need. I installed inkowl refillable cartridges and it has saved me a fortune as epson cartridges are very expensive. Customer service is very good with this product. Remember you get what you pay for!

Frustrating printer!

Onyx Wolf, Amazon
26 September 2012
  • Summary: First the good. The scanner is good, the pictures or documents I've scanned are clear, if not a touch lighter than the original. And when I can get it to print, it does a good job on basic day to day stuff (pictures are ok, but not amazing). The thing that's so frustrating, and the reason I'll not buy another Epson ever, is the paper feed. I have to wrestle the silly thing to get it to print every time I want to use it.
