Summary: Like several others, I bought this printer when Best Buy was giving them away at Christmas for $30. I actually liked this printer until I had a simple paper jam. Once cleared, I couldn't get my paper feed error light to stop blinking. Nor would the printer feed my paper any longer. When I called Epson, John in customer service was worthless. First, I couldn't understand him. Second, he was giving me instructions that did not apply to the configuration of my printer.
Summary: I purchased this item from Sam's. It works well when it works. Although, this printer needs 4 ink cartridges to operated even if you just want to use the black ink. If one is out, the whole thing is out. I print about 5 days out the week. Each ink case lasts about 1 month. Each ink cartridge costs roughly between $13-$16. I'm done with the printer, and moving on to a laser printer. In the big scheme of things, it is not worth your time or money.
Summary: would throw it out the window if I didn't need the scanner. won't print black and white if any of the color ink is out. what a joke of a way to make u waste 35 $ on ink u don't need. never buying from epson again. this company must take their customers as idiots.
Not worth the small amount of money you pay for it.

Summary: Bought it, printed okay until I replaced the ink. Skips lines now when it prints, is super slow (as usual) and always says the paper isn't loaded correctly(also as usual). Seriously, If you can't afford a more expensive printer, the driving to the library is more worth it than this.
Summary: I am not normally a person who writes reviews, but this printer drove me so crazy I had to write one. I wished someone would have told me. The printer malfunctions every time an ink cartridge needs to be replaced. This happens quite often because it runs out of ink so quickly. In addition, you cannot print if any of the color cartridges are empty, even if you are trying to print in black ink only.
Summary: I print shippers with this printer daily and am quite pleased with the product. Since it is linked to my computer it keeps me informed of its needs such as, add ink. It performs self checks and cleaning without being told. It uses less ink to print a better label than my previous printer, thus saving money on ink. To date I have not had to reprint any lables to obtain needed quality.
Summary: This is probably the worst printer I've ever owned in my life. While the scanner seems to work okay, printing anything is massively frustrating, and requires multiple alignments and nozzle cleanings, all which use up a tremendous amount of ink. Not only are you changing and buying ink cartridges constantly, you can't even print anything if one of the cartridges is empty, such as printing in black if your magenta is empty.
Summary: We bought this in February 2011 and have not had any problems with it in the 15 months we've owned it. I usually only print text and light images. My wife prints pictures quite often and they turn out ok...are they professional quality prints? No. But are they acceptable given that we're printing from a sub-$100 inkjet at home? Absolutely. I've never had a paper jam, or a problem with scanning. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews.
Summary: I bought this cause I wanted a new printer, and these weren't too expensive. The thing only lasted 2 weeks before needing a new black ink cartridge. I only printed a handful of things. Those cartridges are small to begin with, so i guess it makes sense. Also, it takes forever to start actually printing, almost to where you think something is wrong, then it finally prints. And yes, I knew what I was doing.
