Summary: I only had the patience to try one feature of this printer: the scanning function. And it was pitiful. I read the directions. I installed the CD and no scans downloaded to my computer. I was really disappointed. Also, note that this price is very high. You can get it cheaper at discount department store. I would give this printer one star but I did not try the actual printing function or the copying function so I gave it three stars.
Summary: I like it! It is a good printer. It seems slow but the software that it came with is solid! No dropped pages and it works just fine for me even tho it is a slow printer. I haven't tried speeding it up but, the aftermarket inks avaiable work just fine too as long as they have a chip in them. Much cheaper too. Try some.
Summary: I bought the NX-125 because it's an Epson and it was $29 from Tar-zhay. And now to the critics: what do you expect for $29? Here's what I got: probably 25 or 30 decent color photos (4 x 6) and maybe 50 - 60 black & white Word docs. The magenta cartridge icon is beggin' for ink right now, but the black still looks OK. I also got a very good copier. Slow, but decent. And a very good scanner.
Summary: Length:: 1:08 Mins This was made to sell ink. Epson has sunk to Lexmark's levels. WARNING: Print yield is GREATLY EXAGGERATED on the box. It states Black 124 = ~185pgs, and Color 124 (per color cart)= ~215pgs. I bought this printer last month and barely printed 20 color pgs, before all ink wells ran dry last week. Why: during priming it drains ink. Hm? 50$ Oh wait: not USB cable or starter paper.
Summary: It is true. You get what you pay for. You get a workable printer, and a decent scanner. It has no frills. The printer is as cheap as the ink it uses. If you're looking for superb print quality for posters, pictures, and a scanner bed bigger than a sheet of letter-size paper and print a lot of photos and pages... spend $200 on a better machine. This is a bare bones product, and all I really need for the home.
Summary: I have not had a chance to use this printer/scanner yet, because to my surprise, it does not come with a USB cable. I now have to search the internet to buy a specific cable for it. Please be aware of this issue before you purchase. If I had known this, I would not have bought it.
